4 strings - into the night (gabriel & dresden remix)

i'm aware there are loads of 'remixes' that really just add a tougher kick/bass to the original but i wouldn't call these useless... some of the time that's all they need & it makes them sound better where it counts; in the club.

g&d's mix of into the night doesn't even add that though, just weakens it down a bit, elongates the structure & puts a flange on the bass. yawn

If I remember corectly, for me it was the Picotto remix of Lethal Industry. Not useless cause it sounded the same, but sounded unrecognizable as a remix or somethin.

Yeah. I don't think it used a single sound from the original. He even had to put in a vocal saying "Lethal Industry" just so people would know what it is.

I'd say the most useless remix is Ryksopp - Eple (Fatboy Slim Remix). Why the hell did he have to add that ridiculous vocal sample to it?

this is one i can actually agree with. he probably got paid a fuckload for making it and then he just doesn't really do anything with it.

haha, thanks for reminding me of that crap-remix

anyway, anyone here knows Microbe - Xit 2 Nowhere?
The Pulse Release has a Full Intention Mix and a Mind One Club Mix whereas the only difference between the two mixes is, that the Mind One Club Mix has a vocal saying "Xit 2 Nowhere", the Full Intention Mix hasn't

Posted by Ivand on Jul-20-2006 15:52:

I have yet to find a difference between the dirty mix and the original mix of Jose Nunez - Bilingual

+ 1 ... Schiller track i prefer the Free Schiller Mix but i agree ... Tiesto remixes are totally usuless on these 2 tracks.

Whats the point!!

Only added bassline for Tiesto cos he finds it difficult to mix in the original

Actually he pretty much made that track dancefloor friendly. There wasn't even a kick in the original.

For real! He didn't even spin his own mix

There's a couple of recognisable things from the original in it. In the breakdown the main melody plays briefly in a very cool synth.

Tiesto - Suburban Train (Way Out West Remix)

Never did it for me. The original is pretty good though.

Mine is definitely A&B remix of Silence.

Waste of space.

I dunno really. The track is okay and all. Maybe I should give it another chance?

Up to you. It's a really good summer track for me. A very warm track. A lot of WOW is about style over substance, but that remix has a lot of atmosphere to me.

I absolutely love everything else by them, though.
Ajare is such a summery track too, man. The funny thing is, I told my friend, who mostly listens to hiphop, about it and he got his hands on some absolutely craptacular version and now he thinks Way Out West is like .
Oh he'll see...
