I was going to post something similar but I resisted the urge

Armin > Ferry

Armin's set @ RS was one of the best set I heard from him. When I saw Ferry in June I didn't have the rush that I had with Armin's set.

Ferry. Hands down, no contest. He's the only Trance DJ that can still make me dance my ass off.

Duh people, Ferry!

I am sorry you feel that way.. but that was not the question

This time the question is based on the city.. if Armin was playing in a city you could get too and Ferry was playing at another City you can get too Via a car.. who would go see??? huh huh??

Posted by DjWoody on Jul-20-2006 15:34:

Neither one!

They both bore me now. Unless, that city was Rosarito or TJ, then I would go see whoever was playing over there. The atmosphere is just MUCH MUCH MUCH better than here in the states and DJs tend to play way different.

Ok SCG...If Armin or Ferry are here between 9/10 and 9/25 when my girlfriend will be here, I will shoot my wad. Now spill the beans!
The closest Armin's has him to being here is Scottsdale in September....Scottsdale?!?! hehe.

Actually Ferry is playing in Sao Paulo next month (where the girly is) but I just got back yesterday. ARg! But I don't see anything on ferry's schedule close to here right now.

When he played here in SF a few weeks ago, he didn't play Candy Ass at all. That's what I was expecting, but we got none of it thankfully. Actually, he rarely seems to bring anything but his A game to San Francisco. I dunno why, he just plays so well here. I attribute it to the amazing opening DJs we have here which he just feeds off of. Compared to the other cities I have clubbed in, SF has the most talented openers overall, IMO. It really does help with both the vibe and getting the headliner in gear. He brought his A game that night. He was definitely working hard carefully choosing which tracks he was playing (taking his time looking through his CDs) and it showed. Was amazing. Wish I wasn't so tired that night, though. Went in on one hour of sleep.

Yeah - he rocked the hell out of SF! I wish I could relive that night too (and not make the few mistakes I made to get kicked out)! The tracks he dropped while I was in RS was killer... when he dropped '4 Strings - Take Me Away (Purple Haze Remix)' I went nutsssss. Definately one of the best sets I have heard in my life at RS... If Armin consistantly spins like he did in SF - I would NEVER miss his shows...

Okeeee, if SF is involved I think I have a clue.

come on michelle just tell us what you know. let me guess, is armin going to be at lovefest or loveparade?(whatever it's called this year)

we'll keep this ambiguous...

both guys still have it in them to rock out equally well, so i would base my decision as so: SF > LA > SD

Posted by bas on Jul-20-2006 21:41:

Hypothetically...which day would this event fall on?

Posted by DjWoody on Jul-20-2006 21:45:

D00d... who cares, you don't like trance, remember?

That's why I said hypothetically.

Posted by trance_seeker on Jul-20-2006 22:40:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder what sweetcandy secrets you know . . .

I've had great times when either has played so I would probably go see whoever is playing closer to Redondo Beach so I wouldn't have to drive as far

Posted by sensorium on Jul-20-2006 23:09:

Armin.

Posted by slkvin on Jul-20-2006 23:24:

Come on Michelle we all know that you promote for Spundea!! Give us the 411.

Posted by sr22 on Jul-21-2006 10:50:

It'd definately be Ferry, i've been dissapointed lately with Armin this past year. His sets sound too much like ASOT, and not enough like his original 4hr+ sets he had a few years back.

you think this has to deal with Spundae ... it was just a hypothetical question for a Hypothetical sitiation.. If Both Armin and Ferry where playing in citys that you could easly drive too on the same night who would you all see.. that is all..

So far Ferry is winning by a long shot!

LOL I was considering not posting specifically because it would seem like I'm jumping on the Ferry bandwagon.(which would be a pretty rocking bandwagon, I must say) So make room for me!

If given the choice, I'd go with Ferry. I like them both and support them both by purchasing both of their music.(although I'm enjoying ASOT2006 more than L.E.F. at the moment) But in the end, I've never heard a mediocre live set from Ferry, whereas I have with Armin. I thought I was the only one who thought Armin was inconsistent at times. I guess there are others who agree. If Armin is in town, I'd be there for sure - unless Ferry is spinning across town. Ferry always brings it.(knock on wood)

We need them both for the SF Love Fest!
