All i gotta say is WOW!!! Digweed was absolutely awesome, I spent the closing hour parked in front off him dancin like crazy. Unfortunately I was into digweed and deep dish so much I missed the Hope stage entirely which is a bummer, but hey, if you are havin fun, why change? I must say the efficiency of the lines was a nice change from most other venues. My firends and I had will call tickets and we picked those up in under 10 minutes and got right into the village when we got in line. 5 thumbs up to Giant for putting on a bangin show. Can't wait till next year.
thanks for a fun night everyone! (as always in LA)... maybe I'll see you at MNS if I can change my flight!

, and to Ivan...the guy that played with Kazell was Toshi. I didn't go but that's what one of the promoters told me. Anyway, fucking Digweed man. Ace set all around, I had a fucking blast. My only gripe was that he played ALOT of the same tracks from The Mayan. But Paolo Mojo - 1983 (Eric Prydz Mix) came on and I went nuts, I looked over at Liverpoolken and apparantly he's the only one out of all you schlubs that recognized it

Giant Village Review
So we got to Giant Village at around 9:45pm. We had ended up getting VIP. The only redeeming quality for VIP was free Red Bulls, Water, and Juice that alone paid for the price of the ticket. Otherwise, VIP was a complete waste of time. The area was in a parking garage. It was hotter than balls in there. You think they could have gotten a couple of big industrial fans!! Special bathroom sucked (only one trailer with 4 stalls), music was piped in from the Flower stage, and if you wanted to get drunk from the drinks forget it. Other than that the rest of the night was awesome. We bounced around stage to stage. First was Zabs once again he turned it out. Then we caught a bit of Hybrid. This was my first time seeing them. They had me shaking my booty. My friends wanted to go see a bit of "The Oakenfold". He basically played the same shitty set from Coachella. I took a break and went on the ferris wheel. It was really cool because the wheel was facing the main stage. So when you were at the top you got to see a bird eye view of the Grand stage rocking out. Spent the rest of the night going between Deep Dish and Digweed. There were so many good dj's that I had A.D.D the whole night trying to check out everyone. Had good times with my friends and can't wait for Sasha and Digweed 07.
i left the flower stage for a short while... i could have sworn i heard digweed drop Vintage Millenium's "Propaganda" from a distance. did he? i'd trip out if he did. also, did he drop Popnoname's "On The Run?" either he did or he played something that sounded similar to it. digweed's set was amazing. can anyone id any tracks? especially the last three.

Got in about 9:00 and had to endure some horrific tabberner because everyone kept wanting to meet by the ferris wheel.. once usher came on i got so fed up i just left to check out the stages until zabs came on. I was very impressed with the lighting setups on Hope and Grand, super tight styles.
Headed over to zabs and as previously mentioned he brought the ferocious dirty sounds and had that block rockin for sure. Once he ended I kind of blanked out until deep dish came on (what did i do for an hour and a half?
)There was a shitload of people over on that block which made for a helluva good party. I remember seeing Ali up there for about 20 minutes but then Sharam took over for the rest of the night. Maybe Ali got as wasted as we all were. Checked some Digweed and Lawrence for a while but my group was at DD, so when I get back to them they're standing there taking pics with zabiela! i guess he was just cruisin' the festival and saw my friends RaveLizards shirt.. That was an awesome bonus to get to meet one of my favorite dj's.
Then we went to the Avalon "afterparty", where swayzak proceeded to shred my eardrums with terrible droning bass and retarded ass samples overlayed. The place was the typical 5 Am crowd with dirty whores, pimps, meatheads, washers and trashed floors. Half our group left
then we went to the patio to try and hang for a while longer till Schultz showed up, only to see Sharam just chillin. Went up and thanked him for a great party. Saw about 20 minutes of Markus, and just was over it i guess and headed home about 7:30.
GIANT kicked ass
I had a good time, it was just SO HOT! Especially if you wanted to go into one of the tented areas like the Deep Stage and Community Service Stage. Dekay seems to get better every time IMO. Markus's set seemed to go by really fast, but I enjoyed it.
I am surprised that no one saw (or at least has mentioned) Hybrid's set. I suppose thats the problem, if you can call it that, with these festivals when they load up so much talent on different stages. I wanted to catch more of Deep Dish's set and Crystal Method's having never really seen either in action before but c'est la vie, Digweed put it down. It was just funny I thought because I left James' set half way through as he was laying down some really dope breaks, complete with scratching and efxing his scratches, then went over to Hybrid and was just floored with their breaks all the way through. I Choose Noise can't come out soon enough.
Zabiela was sick.. glad I got to here him... however let me express my thoughts on Deep dish... If I would brought my "say hello" vynl with me I can think of at least 5 times I would have chucked it at the DJ booth... I wasted my time walking over there... digweed was good but I was to tired bye then cuase DD made me loose my buzz... I think I have came to a realization that if i have a vynl dont go to hear the person live... I usually end up disappointed.
the music was awesome in nearly every room. The vibe was awesome. The VIP turned out to be worth the $$$ I was wasted by 10pm. But the lines never got toooo bad. And we had our own bathrooms.
except they ran out of water....wtf!!!
CL & JZ Killed it!!!!
but I have some beef with Swayzak being booked at the after hours@Avalon. That was without a doubt the worse display of electronic music i have ever heard.
There was a 2 minute segmant of straight distortion and the rest was simply noise. There was another minute or two of complete silience. When markus walked into the club, he said he walked in and saw about 500 people standing in a club with no music being played. That must have been weird as fuck. SWAYZAK PLEASE DONT COME BACK TO LA!!!
It totally ruined the vibe and made Markus' job quite difficult.
I agree with all the Hybrid praise and Oakenfold bashing
and goddamn it was H.O.T. I thought Giant would be prepared with fans or some type of cooling devices...I mean, there was a fan on the goddamn flier !!!
This was such an AWESOME experience. I have never been to a Giant Village before and this was amazing. The entire scene was so different that any Rave type event.
Everyone played and banging set. My faves were Zabiela, Digweed, and Christopher Lawrence
my god did he blow the crowd away. So many build ups and then droped it back down so hard. over and over and over again. He was the last stage standing.
I saw soooo many TA and others I know from everywhere. There were soooo many people, and all 21+ weeee. No kids running around in fur and only a few glowsticks.
I got to ride the Ferris wheel 3 times and took mad pics and an awesome video.
Pics to come soon.
i didn't see you there carrie
check this out:
Awesome, awesome time. Very efficient setup, with the exception of only 2 bathroom outlets for VIP, and one for non vips. having VIP was definetly worth it, cuz I must of had at least $200 in drinks.
Can't wait for next year and New Years. Sasha and Diggers:

CL ROCKS!
Damn, CL really took it to another level for this one. Highlight had to have been (Jochen Miller - Vanity (Cream Team rmx) Thats truly when the party started.
Digweed also put on a great show and dominated his stage hands down. It was crazy to hear (Chris Lake - Changes) by both him and JZ. Guess that happens all the time
