heh.. i've had friends tell me about seeing BT open for Tiesto. Basically, the concensus tends to be that BT throws down a better set than Tiesto.

As a matter of fact, it won't even be on the album, according to a rather reliable source.
I haven't read on BT's site or anything, but this source is really into BT and stuff. We'll see though. If it IS featured on the album, don't be mad at me

EDIT: the song that everyone heard before the trailer was put up was 'Idea 3' from the Emotional Technology days and nothing new.

the one from the trailer is new.

bt is a very smart man. He is just hitting his stride. I think he's a special talent in electronica. I knew his max/msp experiments would expose a darker side soon enough. . . Very much looking forward to this.

are you sure?? that was actually the song from way back
there was another song earlier today that said "the celebration begins.." it showed This binary universe like the end of the trailer type thing

I saw an exclusive showing of TBU at his show in Aspen. I was left speechless, crying at some points, and nodding my head to others.

It is a masterpiece and I had never seen or heard anything like it.. brace yourslef.

highly unlikely it will get a broadcast, but barring any problems, i'll have tracklists a day or two after the gig.

I emailed Amazon asking about the album since it is now on their site for preorder. I asked if it was the double CD with DVD as listed on btnetwork.org

just to let everyone know you can check on bt at his blog mrbt at myspace.

He is currently distracted with the big lawsuit:

One lawsuit is ongoing. There is a guy in New York, that claims ONE loop on my sample CD (a one bar loop) is his. A composer used it in a Pfizer commercial and he heard it, say�s it�s his (I made the loop in Reason in about 5 minutes, and furthermore after paying a musicologist 10,000$, found out that it�s the first beat in the book �Intro to drumming�, literally the first beat they teach you when you learn to play drums). Well how�s this for the American legal system�..

He is suing me for 10 MILLION DOLLARS.

Not joking. He�s also suing East/West the company that distributed my CD for 10 million dollars and Pfizer etc. We have done FFT analysis of the loop, showed the judge waveforms, etc�..does not matter, in America, you can sue anyone for anything. Here�s the kicker�..I have to pay for my own defense, and this guy has some ambulance chaser attorney working on a percentage with nothing better to do than try to force a settlement with a huge corporation, and some guy that just loves making music and sounds, so he can sit on his ass and smoke weed all day. I swear sometimes I want to renounce my citizenship. "

I'm such a huge BT fan, I almost embarrassed about it. Actually I have a lot of reasons to love him:

1) He is a virtuoso producer. So many unforgettable songs.
2) He's a great musician-- he plays real instruments on some of his songs.
3) He's a genius & channels his brain into experimenting with electronic music.
4) He likes rock and alternative music & some of his songs really rock out (eg. Solar Plexus)
5) When performing, he is really nice to his fans.
6) While others may dislike this, his eclectic output keeps me guessing.

I'm seeing BT in a week at the Borgata. Can't wait to find out what direction BT has headed this time.
