well sorry guys no love story...
i just produce music because if i didnt i would become insane, overdose on drugs and die... theres always something i want to get off my guts, and thats why i make music.. if a girl or guy or whatever likes it, well its good, as feedback, not as motivation. in fact the cool thing is that i dont need a motivation, its more like a drug driven urge.
pixxxan: u take drugs?
anyway, i think it's cool to hear how everyone started off producin in this thread. yeah, girls shouldn't be the reason... but tas long as you enjoy doing it, you're on the track
music is my perfect drug
i love you guys... you are so fucking great. stop wanking off, thats all, it gets worse before it gets better, get high when it gets worse, but don't forget to stop when it gets better. once its over, its over. be watchful, don't fall into the trap over again... cuz you will have trouble finding your way out... you forgot the way cuz you were stoned the last time. oog good.
pirates are so fucking great
Always pick up a hobby for yourself, not someone else (especially not a girl, since it won't work anyways if she sense you do it to impress her, which she will know, thrust me).
I do it because it's a challenge, both technically and creatively.
I've been listening to Trance and electronic style music ever since I was a teenager - late 80s, early 90s. I have always had a passion for the stuff. I used to mess around with keyboards and such during my younger years - playing with others, etc. Nothing serious. This past Christmas, my wife got me Sonar Home Studio 4 XL. It's been uphill from there. I used to play quite a bit of PC games. Now, that has almost ceased completelly as I find satisfaction in composing. I mainly do this as a hobby, but I am learning so much from you all and others. Maybe one day it will turn into something. Ultimately, it doesn't matter because I just have fun doing it.
I have no music training whatsoever. I started reading a Music Theory book and have learned quite a bit. I plan to have my son (the boy in the picture on the left) start piano when he's about 7 or 8 - just to give him early exposure to it.
You guys take care!
Its hilarious how anyone would think getting into music production could help raise their pulling power. I can think of few things more geeky.
I mean come on. We get hard ons over anti aliasing filters. Actual hard ons man.

Unlike so many of the other stories on this thread my fiance' DOESN'T like that I produce. It takes time away from her afterall (a lot of time). But anyone with any sense of self will start producing for the love of producing not for a girl (or anyone else). My girl puts up with it because she loves me and knows how important it is to me NOT because she loves that I produce.
girls are evil. they take the life out of you.
and get in the way of making music all the time botchin and bitchin.
all the guys who i know who are taking off in their music carrers dont have girlfriends . stay single more productive
Love can be inspiring...
Sometimes lost love even more so...
and stories like you love a girl you can't have...are those depressing and inspiring ones ...
