Vanessa.

4 Strings showed promise for change as early as 2003, when they made Revelation, which is still my personal favorite song by them. No vocals whatsoever, just plain danceable high BPM good stuff (and I have the vinyl for it. ) 4 Strings has defintely come a long way. Their newest stuff kinda reminds me of old school trance, circa PVD 2002-2003, and speaking of PVD, he's the one who played Revelation in a few of his great 2003 sets, such as @ Panama, Amsterdam. You heard some of that set, Lis.

I can't wait to see 4 Strings without Vanessa, finally.

*EDIT* And yes, Jewel is an amazing track. Even Groove Eric and Relik have played it in their sets.

You never know, they are thinking a little oustide the box this year so SVD could happen.

Personally I would love to see Ferry booked for this event as well. Then the lineup would be complete in my book, no matter what else they do. (Tiesto + Ferry + Acosta + Markus + C. Lawrence + 4 Strings = party on).

Posted by efunk on Aug-01-2006 04:51:

I'm looking forwardto this BANG! I went to last years and it was awsome. I hope they add some house acts though cause last year the Swedish House Mafia tore it up! But I am looking forward to seeing Markus and Tiesto cause Ive never seen them live before and Gnarls Barkley shouldnt dissapoint.

It's quite interesting. Everyone that went last year was quite surprised at how well Bang! was able to manage as a first timer. There were some things that were hoped to have been better, lack of people and what-not, but it was assured that everyone had a blast and that some of the tents were banging. It was ashame to see some high profile DJ's playing to 10 people though. Its nice to see Bang! coming back again and with good guns under its name. Its great to have a festival like this in November, a nice mixture of live bands and dj's makes it fun for us the locals. Im liking the Line-up so far.. Im already going no matter who else gets added up.

Posted by efunk on Aug-03-2006 17:15:

Yea theyre wasnt really alot of people there last year but it made it so easy to get right infront of the DJs and I think it was the middle tent but they put most of the big name artist theyre like Benassi and Robbie Rivera. This BANG! looks like its gonna be mainly trance though were last years was mainly house with live acts.

Posted by nfekted on Aug-03-2006 17:59:

Bang! itself was worth going last year. The thing that sticks most to my mind though was Edgar's set. He threw down banging shit including Where the Streets, and Pictures. Damn i loved every minute of it. Thx EV. But the banging house was not to be missed. Going.

Posted by efunk on Aug-03-2006 19:19:

I didnt get there in time to listen to his set. The moment that I always remembered is when Sebastian Ingrosso threw on Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up and Axwell squirted his beer onto the crowded. Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell made my BANG!
