| Originally posted by KrazyDJs Liverpool just lost all my respect to them. and UEFA too. They canceled the games (M. Haifa against Liverpool, B. Jerusalem against Dinamo Bucharest, Bnei Yehuda against Lokomotiv Sofia and H. Tel Aviv against Domzale) because of the "situation". Although they (UEFA) confirmed last week the games being played in Israel, in the Tel Aviv area who doesn't get bombed. I guess we can change the Liverpool song to "You will never walk alone, unless it's playing in Israel". WOW I'm angry. I hope they'll change their decision. |
Tel Aviv hasn't been attacked. UEFA know it, the foreign team know it. UEFA even decided the games will be taking place in Israel, but after we drew up Liverpool, they backed up from their decision, as Liverpool have a name in Europe.
We were already exiled for 3 years, it harms the teams professionally and financially. Even if Haifa had the slightest chance to get past Liverpool, now when they can't even play at home...
I know for sure that if we would have got a less popular team, we would've been playing in Israel, the 3 other teams (except Liverpool) just jumped on the "too dangerous to play in Israel" bandwagon.
Werent the UEFA matches involving Israeli teams moved to a neutral ground aswell?
Go Zrich / Salzburg.

Zvezda to win tonight, if they fuck up..
..well, not much to say then..
GO MILAN! (As in Bisevac you Milan ****s)

We kicked Corks ass out of the Champions League qualifier after 2 goals by Zigic and the first one by Dejan Milovanovic.
Basta and Georgijev was great today, and I have to say the game got worse without Ziga. Jankovic did a pretty cool job when he came on, but the game was done in after 3 minutes of play.
Cork had a couple of chances, and once again, a shot in the bar.
Djurgrden is out of the CL Qualifier, unfortunately.
GO CSKA! CRUSH THEM MILOS!

Its only fair. Have to think of the safety. To say there is now safety issue at all is crazy.
Personnally i think both legs should be played in Anfield.

Arsenal thrashed Dinamo Zagreb 0:3 on Maksimir yesterday night.
Today:
Milan vs. Crvena Zvezda
Hopefully we won't get thrashed
I'm satisfied.
A 1:0 lose against Milan on Giuseppe Meazza is great, and I think we have a good oppurtunity at Marakana on the 23rd.
This is going to be hot!

1st leg results
Austria 1-1 Benfica
Dinamo Zagreb 0-3 Arsenal
Hamburg 0-0 Osasuna
Milan 1-0 Crvena Zvezda
Salzburg 1-0 Valencia
Lille 3-0 Rabotnicki
Kbenhavn 1-2 Ajax
CSKA Moskva 3-0 Ruomberok
Shakhtar 1-0 Legia
Liverpool 2-1 M. Haifa
Standard 2-2 Steaua
Liberec 0-0 Spartak Moskva
Hearts 1-2 AEK
Dynamo Kyiv 3-1 Fenerbahe
Levski 2-0 Chievo
Galatasaray 5-2 Mlad Boleslav
Valencia losing in Salzburg and Chievo losing in Sofia are BIG upsets; Liverpool also had a very tough match, only scoring the winning goal in the 88th minute. I also find the Hamburg-Osasuna situation very interesting, the favourite germans will now have to score in Spain.
Legia and Liberec are still up for minor upsets despite somewhat negative results. Same for Austria Vienna and Crvena Zvezda, altho in that case it'd be something for the headlines. Fenerbahe did quite bad in Ukraine but could still pull something. Dinamo Zagreb, Rabotnicki and Ruomberok are the most hopeless.
