I've never looked into it seriously, but as far as I know tinnitus is a slight bend in the ear drum, which is sending a constant signal to your brain that you're hearing something. Genetically I'm sure some people could also have it without damage since it should only take a slight difference in the build of the ear drum to cause it. That's just coming from a common sense approach though given the causes, so don't quote me on it.

been Djing for about 12-13 years, found out that I am 65% deaf in my ear that faced monitor for all those years, kind of why I am slowing down on the giggin and shit, If I can suggest anything to you young un's. protect your hearing, and if you Dj, keep monitors down at a respectful level.
