| Originally posted by FallingMoon LOL was it that thread he started about seeing Armin @ SOMEONE else's gig? I was one of the pissed off people...perhaps because you just don't start a "review" thread about seeing a DJ you supposedly like @ another party? umm that could have been said in the actual Armin review thread. |
There's different forums.. for different people for their different tastes.
CJ isn't for me.. As TA wasn't for Bling.

I met him he's a nice guy, but he wrote overly opinionated reviews of party nights.. he likes soulful house more than trance, and told me that trance was old news for him. to everyone their thing. no problem.
When someone posts a club review they take serious risks of harrassment (by either fans, djs, promoters, or agents), and bling took those risks and got the concequences. I honestly believe the harrassment and feedback he received was excessively harsh for the reviews he wrote, since his reviews were more constructive than others I've stumbled upon on TranceAddict.
Reviews are nice to read for those who missed parties, but they usually end up doing more harm than good. Posting pics, videos, and dj sets are better means of sharing a party one hasn't gone to with a lower risk of being trolled or harrassed. Hell if club reviewers send me all 3 of those forms of media, I can definately feel like I've been there without having to read someone's negative thoughts and me thinking that they're a dipshit when they might be the nicest person in person.
It's better to keep a shitty clubnight to yourself. Writing a negative review will not change what happened in the party. It makes you look bad, gets you unnesesary enemies, and makes the clubbing experience less enjoyable, even if your reviews are only for humourous purposes or very constructive.
There is lack of emotion and body language when one types on the internet, that's why trolling and misunderstandings come about so frequently. Even emoticons don't help the tone of the text.
For me I consider this emoticon to be hilarious.
but most people take it as if someone is being completely angry and offensive. Smilies can be taken as sarcastic or genuine depending on the person reading it.

wow thanks for the thread. errr. i guess.
as for vero. u met me once.at mama mia maybe twice. but regardless everyone is entitled to their own opinion..
yes that armin incident was when i saw lawler two yrs back and armin was there.
i listen to trance only with what i d/l from this board. i appreciate talented djs like eric and will continue to listen to his sets as i tell koky whenever i see him. he knows i dl all the eric sets on TA..
i listen to funky house mostly (chicago house, not so much soulful though i love that style as well)
regardless i dont go out as much as i used to. focused on my career and on loftier goals.
i go out only when i really want to go hear someone .....
much love to everyone here. continue loving trance.. i for one am not closeminded to any form of music
ill listen to stuff from trance, ambient, tech house, funky house . u name it..even 80's, old skool hip hop and jazz
and while some people like damon despises me and others (whom are not as vocal about it) that is cool to each their own...
btw i dont review much on cj now because its not as important to me though i will be dropping an interview shortly ..
peace.
Nice to hear from you again Bling.
congrats on ur two new additions to ur family clawmeister
u got to send me the pics
