The only thing I don't like about this album is Perry Farrell's out-of-tune "singing" in Dogstar. Otherwise it's massive.

I think it works IMO. Dogstar is one bangin' track but it needs vocals otherwise it'd sound repetitive after a while. I think Farrell's vocals work well but I do admit that I didn't like them at first and that it took a few listens for me to enjoy this track.

Oh yeah, the vocals are essential for the track, I just wish the singer would had been someone else.

Choke is all sorts of awesome. Great album.

An absolutely sweet album. Loving it bigtime.

Hand on heart, one of the best pieces of work I've heard in a while. 'Just for Today' is a masterpiece and definitely a case of the best saved for last. Just amazing.

FINALLY got this bloody thing.

Great album overall. Yeah, the vocals in Dogstar are a bit off key IMO.

Rest is great tho. Just for Today is brilliant, Until Tomorrow is amazing. Best track tho is Last Man Standing. Awesome, awesome tune.

Ordered.

I am surprised that this album isn't so hyped like I thought it would be. I mean, only 3 pages?

incredible stuff

Overall an incredibly forgetful album, though I find it better than Morning Sci-Fi. The cinematic orchestral sequences gimmick is wearing thin.

Whoever ranked this above BT's latest, clean our yer ears. BT actually lets the orchestra shine without subjecting it to the same old 4/4 (ok, will give Hybrid credit for trying 6/8) sequence.

Quite weird you're saying this seeing the orchestratic parts play a lot smaller part on this album than on the last two.

ok this is good...just in the verification process on whehter it's better than that of BT's new CD

Late review I know but us poor Americans only got the Hybrid cd this past Tuesday. Wow, I am thoroughly impressed. Favorite tracks are (in no order) Just for Today, Hooligan Spirit (such an evil track), Dogstar, Keep it in the Family, and Until Tomorrow, but only because of the nice guitar work. Would love to get my hands on some kinda extended mix of Hooligan Spirit.

Hooligan Spirit reminds me so much of a Marilyn Manson guitar riff, I think for Beautiful People. I wouldn't mind an extended version of Hooligan Spirit either.

Wow, I was really kissing arse there.

This album is stunning. Better than both 'Wide Angle' and 'Morning Sci-Fi' IMO.

I bought it a week ago and finally got around to listening to it last night

Really good vocal performances underlain by rhythmic basslines that you can really get into. The non-vocal tracks have a dark feel to them.

Its the excellent basslines that make it for me - this was what was missing from Morning sci-fi. All the tracks build progressively and draw you in.

wow

After listening to it over and over again

ITS SO AMAZING, unbelievable soundscapes and symphonic compositions...
each track is a single masterpiece, and the cd as a whole really takes me to another place.

I don't know enough words to express how much I dig this album

This album was not really my cup of tea. It sounded to soundtrack'y to me. But yet, I do have to keep in mind that this is Hybrid. I was walking at night one time and had this in my mp3 player, and all of the sudden I got this wierd feeling as if I'm some movie character or something. But I did like the track Choke that they did with Quivver.
