I'm riding my fatigued horse down toward El Paso to the dubby beat of The Very Last Resort. Every day in the west can be your last...

Both discs are amazing...

This is a mind blowing 2CD putout from Trentemoller.. The CD is absolutley delicios. So many different moods, and emotions in this one.. it's hard to describe, you just have to listen for yourself.

Trentemoller just put up his numbers in my book. I was a little skeptical at first, thinking that it would just be random bleeps and blobs all over the place, but I was comepletely wrong. Trent follows his style but in such a way that it doesn't bore you, but instead it keeps you on your tip-toes wondering what the next track has in store for you.

The track I'm in love with on this release is "Miss You". For me, this track is everything and more. Its what I would listen to when I'm feeling down, and get the feeling as if the song is listening to me, and not the other way around. Its amazing. It also works the other way.. I can listen to this when I'm excited about something, and it compliments that feeling in a very subtle yet powerful way.

Another track which I can't stop listening to is "Moan (Vocal Version Featuring Ane Trolle)". This is Trent on shrooms. The beautiful blend of meloncholic vocals, mixed with the beeps & bleeps, and sounds you've never heard before is perfect. As the track moves on, you can feel the energy build up.

By the time you get to "Rykketid" you're either passed out, or just sparked another J.

An amazing release by Trent.. it hasn't disappointed me one bit.

10/10

This is by far the best CD of the year.

I am a big trance fan so Trentemoller should not be "my cup of tea" but this is fantastic.

First CD is so awesome, yea it is a home listen but whats wrong with that, its so original and mindblowing music on it. My favorites are the opener and last few tunes but everything is awesome.

Second CD should be looked as a bonus CD as a 80% of material on it was already out on vinyl before. I love the Trentemoller remix of Always Something Better which is maybe the best tune on both CDs, Moan with Vocal is awesome and already everything has been said about previous singles such as Killer Kat, Polar Shift and others.

Top Class Realease!

Be Cool!

Hell yeah. I just bought it, and it's pretty cool. My favorite is "Into the Trees (Serenetti, Pt. 3)." It's all really chill stuff, except for a handful on the 2nd CD. Definitely worth buying...

Anyone find a good retailer for the Limited Edition of this CD? I just got mine from Amazon.com after waiting a month since it was supposed to come out, and even though I ordered the 2 disc Limited Edition, I received the 1 disc regular one.

Trentemoller made a remix of this song and played it on his EM. IMO, its even better...one of my favs of the moment.

sounds weird to me, however ... while whe cold winter waiting and take me into your skin i liked a little, the rest is very dark stuff but this guy have talent, some tracks have some short moments of melody that sounds very good but the full tracks don't work with me.

I love these tracks:

Take Me Into Your Skin
Evil Dub
Always Something Better (all three versions)
While The Cold Winter Waiting
Like Two Strangers
The Very Last Resort
Moan (instrumental only, vocal version seemed weak to me)
Miss You
Rykketid

These tracks I think are the true showcase of his talent. Now the rest of the tracks on both discs are of course layered and well done, but they just sound too dull, minimal and repetitive to me. I was actually thinking about buy the Limited Edition before I even listened to it. But now I'll probably just purchase the ones that I liked on Beatport

If those other tracks that I haven't listed above were done by some other minimal producer who is not as big as Anders Trentemoller, let's just say for example Loco Dice - I honestly don't think that there would be this much talk about them.

If you like Trentemoller's haunting downtempo stuff then try some atmospheric electronica by Telefon Tel Aviv and Mum. They sound quite similar to stuff by these artists.

Finally got my hands on this release, and what a journey it is.

Trentemoller never fails to amaze me with his wise variety of styles. From the chilling eerie beginning, bass driven peak (what his most famous productions are known for), or full circle ambient end, each track just grabs you and seemlessly flows into the next.

CD1 = An experience
CD2 = Slam in the car
