The only time I've been stung is when my friend and I were hitting golf balls in his yard. Of course I manage to hit a hive up in a tree.

I too fought a hive and lost.

I found the worst part was hours later when you try to sleep and can't find any position that doesn't put pressure on the spots where you were stung

we have a lot of wasps here in georgia. they all vote bush too

That's what I thought this thread was about when I first saw the title.

I remember first moving from NYC to the American south when I was about 8. The south was the first place I saw a wasp and I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!!?" Legs hanging down and shit. Definately one of the freakiest insects I had seen at that time.

Nowadays pretty much, I act as normal as I can around wasps, and they don't bother me. Glad I live in the City.

i was climbing up some rocks a few years ago, and i got stung on my upper thigh! i jumped down onto a ledge and scraped my ass on the way down. owwwwww....and the sting left a 4 inch diameter red circle

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, btw.

friggin' wasps. I hate them with a passion. When I was little I would always go ride on this little toy tractor at my grandparents... and one day i get in it... start pedaling, and out of the bottom, comes a friggin' wasp and stings me on the foot. I felt so betrayed. How could they come out of MY tractor?!

They must all die!





and I will say... that the other day I had some wasp spray handy... was soooooooooo angrily amusing to kill every last mothertrucker in my house.

When my Dad and his best mate were kids they threw some rocks at a wasps nest on a embankment, a policeman came along on a bike to have a word with them, he walked closer to inspect the nest and the swarm of now very angry wasps turned on him! My dad said he ran off as if he was on fire screaming and waving his arms around

I cannot stick wasps, I hate sitting in a pub beer garden and being bothered by them I usually remain still and calm, but when people flap their arms at them I can guarentee I'm the person who get's stung.

when I was a kid I got stung like 8X when I stepped on a nest of yellow jackets. f'iin sucked, was sick for 2 days afterwards.

Wasps are borderline harmless.

Swat them with your hand and they'll fly off. They're actually very nervous things. They'll only sting you if they're cornered.

Bees if anything, are worse. They are much more agressive.

I've gotten stung by wasps and bees several times and by a bumblebee once. Sucks ass.
