manual. i dont think i want an automatic car again. traffic with a manual does suck, but when you get out of traffic the rewards outweigh that. i am in the process of selling this car and it is a pain to sell b/c most people in NY want automatics.

I had a number of stick cars, 5spds & 6spds. The only time i would buy a stick again is if the car was a sports cars or muscle car. When im driving, i always end up being behind some retard with some stick shitty ass 4 banger that cant move for shit.

i drive stick because i want to be in total control of all 84 horsepower

Posted by superglo on Aug-10-2006 01:58:

manual.
so both feet and arms have something to do.

Posted by idoru on Aug-10-2006 02:41:

Most of the time I drive a stick, occasionally I'll use the other car and drive automatic.

Posted by Sunsnail on Aug-10-2006 02:44:

I drive automatic, because I suck

Posted by simplcake on Aug-10-2006 03:04:

also manual is cheaper, isnt it?

Posted by Ted Promo on Aug-10-2006 03:09:

I drive an automatic because I'm lazy.

Posted by gehzumteufel on Aug-10-2006 03:29:

stick ftw. auto = boring

bogart: Tiptronic = vw/porsche...do you drive one of these?

i drive an impreza 2.5i 5spd btw. torque ftw!

i drive a standard. i have a hard time driving automatics, its pretty funny

Posted by snowboarder45 on Aug-10-2006 07:47:

I've had 2 manuals and 2 autos but currently have an auto. I prefer manual (as long as it's a sports car) as I live outside of downtown and don't catch a lot of traffic. I would say roughly about 65-70% of Americans have automatics.

I'vr nrvt drivn a var in my life!

i cant drive auto anymore, i drove my parents minivan a couple months ago and almost broke my nose on the steeringwheel....

while driving down my street to the neighboors house to pick up my dad (he was hammed) i wasnt wearing my seat belt and went to push the clutch in so i could coast through a stop sign, but instead of a clutch pedal i hit one of those stupid double wide brake pedals and put my head right into the steering wheel... it sucked.... nevar again will i drive auto.... 5sp FTW

I kind of know how to do manual, but I'm bad at it, so i'll stick to auto/sport shift

yeah traffic on a hill sucks. what even sucks more is that a lot of people here in the US, dont drive manual. so in traffic on a hill they are right on your bumper. i am always like wtf, please give me a little room to roll back on.

roll back? whats that?

Posted by wizniz on Aug-10-2006 16:10:

when on a hill, you inevitably roll back a little during the time it takes for your foot to go from the brake to the clutch and to accellerate. depending on how good you are you roll back less, but you gotta have some room just for peace of mind.

my car is an auto diesel so it might as well be manual because im constantly playing with the gears to get it to shift the right way...

old cars ftw lol im always paying attention...

this one time me and some friends were in SF(one of the many) and this guy rolled back and rested his ass end on the front end of the car behind him. he then proceeded to pull away. i laughed my ass off.
