i've only bought 1 samsung and 1 sanyo phone over the course of 5 years. My sanyo lasted me almost 4 years and still is one of the nicest sanyo phones out there to date.

Well, about point C, it's not quite broadband speed. And there are some other advantages. But at the moment they are pretty much just novelty value unless your really into using your tech to the max.

I too have noticed almost all phones nowaday are shockingly bad. They either look like crap clones of one another. Or look cool, but have a terrible spec.

My favs at the moment are the Samsung P300, or Nokia N93.

well, it's 300-700 kbps, so it's definitely not bad (I would've been thrilled with that back in some of the worse DSL days).

Only thing is, unless you have a PDA or smart phone, it's useless, 'cuz it's dumb to try to browse the web without a keyboard or touchscreen

I'm standing by my original statement--go with the LG VX8300 or the RAZR V3m. They're each $150 for you. The LG is supposed to be better, but a lot of people want the RAZR instead. Nokia doesn't make any CDMA phones (except for one or two which no one's mentioned, because they wouldn't make good recommendations for a number of reasons), so just ignore all the Nokia talk.

Anyone from Australia?

What is the technology they use in Australia for cell phones?

Is it CDMA or GSM? Do they use SIM cards over there or is it all CDMA like US?

I wanna buy this cell:

Its PDA cell, price is high only for the O2 brand, X-Mate and other unlocked variants are much cheaper.. but still above 400USD.

I was going to buy the chocolate. But i asked the person if this phone was like a chick phone. He laughed.

And said it was...

I was like ohhh never mind then.

Instead i went and bought the samsung - a970. [$270]

nah...you saw the Samsung one...which is ok...but yeah, too expensive

ALSO: if a card has a SIM card, it is GSM. If not, it is CDMA.
