Aren't they supposed to do some actualy reporting on facts or do they just take one possible theory with little evidence and run with it? It's more commentary on the sad state of our culture than on any personal "beef" with the media. For all we know OJ could really be innocent! I keeed, I keeed.

I actually don't have an opinion of Bill Owens. I just have a problem with the way the court of public opinion works--particularly when it is guided and influenced by so much bullshit coming out of the media. Bill Owens may have said something, but the media could've done a better job of uncovering facts before jumping (and causing just about everyone to jump to conclusions with them) to the conclusion that 2 parents are guilty of murdering their child. Hell, this case just gets weirder and weirder.

Hehe shaka, the media is supposed to uncover the facts of the case ahead of the police? Personally I think you're ire is misdirected to the wrong people here ... the media is doing what it always does for better or for worse on every issue. The fact that the media was so wrong on this issue is more so a reflection on Bill Owns and the local police as opposed to the media. If you want to attack the media for taking the governments case without a through vetting period than I think you should be on MisterOpus's side when it comes to issues concerning Iraq with respect to this administration don't you think?

UPDATE
Charges on Karr dropped due to DNA not matching. They now consider Karr a false confessor who's out for some attention. You can read more about it here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14553130/

I'm so not surprised. Within a day of this guy getting captuerd I was saying things didn't sound right based on info coming out from the media.

Wll he be charged with wasting police time? Its shame he had to put the family through that.

What a nutjob though.

he is still indicted on child porn charges in california where he has been now extradited so there is still a good chance for him to get a life sentence
