I really dig this set, I'm not sure if I like it more than summer romance, but i whored that set to death. Every track is tasty and the flow is great except for 1983, I think i have the original version before you edited it, so maybe the updated version is better. I just think that dropping 1983 is something that needs to be very well planned and executed or it can completely kill the mood of the set, very similar to aftermath. I think you put a lot of thought into this set and choose your songs carefully and it definitely worked! Definitely a change from summer romance, not as much funk but a little more progressive. I'll listen to the newer version and tell you what i think then

thanks for the detailed review and wonderful comments, Garthy! you should definitely grab the updated version. i cut out 4 min of 1983 so it flows a lot better now. initially i wasn't even sure if i really wanted to use the Prydz remix of 1983, but Clovis' edit is pretty bomb and i thought the transitions with Monkeybreak and Hypnotized sounded pretty sick.

I was only able to listen through the first four tracks due to time constraints at work but let me just say that I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow to finish listening! That mix of Stan Kolev is hot!

nice work myra!! i listened to 1/2 of it on the way to work, and the rest on the way back home this morning... like the rest of your mixes i really enjoyed this one, but i like this the best so far. i dig the mood of the mix, i want more!! there was one thing i didn't like about the mix...

its too short! it ended and i was driving and i let out a little sigh keep it up, cheers!

ps when are you and rob gunna come roadtrip to cleveland? we have some stellar events lined up the next few months starting sept 15th, check out the ohio TA thread.

if you get a chance, Bobby, i would love to hear what you thought of the rest of the mix. and yeah, that Stan Kolev track is soooo good... love it!

thanks for the review, Joe! i agree with you that it is too short, but i just kind of threw it together quickly (2 days before i left for vacation) and i didn't want to cram in too many tracks just for the sake of making it longer. this and my last mix (Summer Romance) are both about an hour long so i'd really like to try to put a longer set together next time.

i'm not sure when i'll get around to my next mix. i really want to record a live demo sometime soon but i've never recorded anything live yet so i'm sure i'll need at least a few more months (or weeks, if i'm lucky, lol) of practice... but i'm probably gonna do a chill mix in MixMeister next month as a birthday present for one of my best friends, so if that comes together, i'll be sure to throw it up on TA as well!

RJT and i are tagging a set @ Raven's tomorrow night, and i'd love to tag with you too sometime! you play some hot tunes.

actually i'd love to tag with so many of the MWTA DJs. it's too bad we all live so far away from each other... and although at the OMGWTFBBQ we had many of us in one city for one weekend, but since pretty much everyone there was a DJ, i decided that weekend that i was just gonna be a girl and not a DJ, lol.

also wanted to say, huge thanks to Rocky for playing my set on WNUR the other night! was definitely cool to hear one of my own mixes being "broadcast" over the airwaves for the first time, hehe.

well done, Myra! I enjoyed the mood/feel of this. and now i have even more driving music....both city and rural. honestly, the best part was like the last two tracks. great ending to a slick style mix. this sound is definitely out of my normal range of listening; and i liked it - something new and refreshing to me. well done - you've got my support. keep it up!

thanks for the review, Will! i'm really glad you enjoyed it, especially since it's not what you normally listen to. as far as i recall you're one of the few TAs who still actually listens to trance, right? i think one of the reasons why you may have enjoyed this mix is because a lot of the songs have kind of trancy elements to them, even though it's house music.

what the hell am i talking about... i still love trance. the last 2 days i've been sooo addicted to Christopher Lawrence's Essential Mix from 2004.

oh and thank you so much for featuring my mix on your c0r news segment, that was hilarious!

hell yeah! i think i'm going to start doing that everyweek....and wh0ring off someone's mix towards the end.

i'm totally addicted to "Phantom Project - Summertime (Instrumental Mix)" now. i don't really get a chance to hear new music all the time; and there is no club scene in biloxi or any of mississippi for that matter....it's all top 40/hip hop/urban stuff, which i'm not really into at all. so it's nice to hear something new from my normal trance listening.
