Well, Sister Bliss wrote the hooks for Faithless. Rollo was the producer, and I quite like the production on this track (except for that nasty synth the main melody is in).

I suggest you read the sleeve notes again sunshine

Rollo wrote for Faithless with Sister Bliss and Maxi. All three of them were writers, right from the start of the project.

All the Beatles sleeves originally said all the tracks were written by Lennon & McCartney even though they weren't. It doesn't mean anything.

ok, but until he provides something worthwhile to suggest otherwise I'll go by the published evidence.

however (although I don't know exactly the beatles history) Lenon and McCartney both wrote some tracks, whether separate or together. So by using that example, Rollo has written at least some of the tracks, which still suggests his sweeping statement is false.

you can then say a monkey wrote the hooks for this track and tiesto was the producer.. still tiesto had the last bit of creative license over this song being the producer and all.

I suggest you read some interviews. Rollo may write some of the more subtle stuff, but Sister Bliss is the keyboardist and she always wrote the hooks. She famously came up with the Insomnia hook "in about ten minutes".

The music was finished well before they got Maxi Jazz as a singer for the track.

Dance 4 Life originally tried to get Annie Lennox to do the vocals. She didn't want to do it though, and then they somehow got to Maxi Jazz. They might have twisted the tune somewhat after signing Maxi Jazz, but I don't think any major changes have been made.

what a horrible fucking piece of crap tune. the vocals are hideous (but then it's maxi jazz babbling, so what do you expect) and other than that the track is nothing special in any way, sounds like a watered down mark norman production IMO.

Heh. Maybe we all just expect a big hook when we hear Maxi, then. Still, whatever Tiesto was trying to do with that melody I don't think it worked.

at the end of the day tiesto fans will probably buy the track making some money for the charity, so something worked.

This song has no direction at all. I was almost expecting to hear MC Hammer's voice pop in at any second and shout "Hammer Time!"

Beat and vocals are good but WHAT THE FUCK is that horrible childish german hardtrance lead melody?? Sounds fucking terrible! This track is like a combination of Faithless Insomnia and Boten Anna

I think this is a horrible track for the same reason this guy states:

Exaggerated track to say the least.

but yay for the loveparade being in it

I haven't heard the track up till today. I didn't expect very much of it to begin with, but the result I'm hearing from my speakers now is a real pain for my ears

I really didn't thought it would be this bad ... I hope his upcoming album doesn't have the same quality as this piece of crap

Posted by capricorn15 on Aug-21-2006 22:07:

this song is beyond wack. wtf is tiesto doing these days, his music has been sucking big time. i wish he would go back a couple years at least and start off again.

Should be mentioned there is a Tiesto Edit that he played in Panama last wednesday (read:not one of the pending remixes), this edit has the horrid synth omitted.

I like it too. Lacks originality. But is nice and banging

tiesto with maxi jazz - dance for life is awefully bad

Lol at Tiesto.... TWICE!!!

Dance for life?
ROFL

Posted by Abhay on Aug-26-2006 20:57:

hmm... there's more to this track than it seems...

This track and it's lyrics (the complete lyrics of which i can't seem to find anywhere), are focussed on moving young people to try to do something about the global epidemic of aids.

i quick google scouting suggests that a new oragnisation may be starting called DANCE4LIFE, which is focussed on getting youn people to do somethign about the spread of aids.

I dunno guys.. .it could be bullshit, but yeah, do a quick google run.

TBH, i think it's good that the lyrics in this one moved away from somethign about love and sweetness and shit... And that the voice isn't lovely and sweet. you know what i mean.

The track is more creative and more unique than i expected. Afer a few listens, i think it's reasonably good otherwise. The real marks should be for uniqueness. It's actually a pretty good track in my books just for that.
