Sure or not as the whole point if to try and get corporate sponsors to beilve in a concept like the one in the UK to help so maybe one day we can get somehting close to it or comparable. It just sucks that people judge things right away with out knowing the hard work and long term game plan in the works to try and acheive much more than whats going on.

Rome was not build oin a day and unless you have millions of dollars to lose such as Coachella for the first 3 years you have to start wiht what you have and work your way up to where you ideally want to be.

We can sit here all day long and compare, judge, come up with ideas, but the reality is EDM in the USA is an uphill battle with the rest of the real music world. You can also bet your life that everyday I wake up to face these challenges and even though it gets frustrating at time I/we full enjoy what ever we can seem to fabricate

Yeah thats why I said "looks"

But thank you for investigating that for me.

Btw, angles are different due to lenses used imo.

Also is you say last years Global Gatehring in Miami it was clearly mixed with other types of music which the same format will follow this year. In order to get 50,000 people you need to work the same formula as Coachella as that is the only way you can get those number. Just like Ultra added the Killers and a few other bands, Just like Giant added a band for NYE and i am sure there are many more examples.

We should be happy that Vegas has so much talent on a great holiday week end that is so close to us. things could be way worse such as living in Arknasas and have the choice of a Blue Grass Festival or going possibly going Oyster Shucking.

and FYI GGUK should be chaning it up even in the UK soon as in order to get bigger other acts besides EDM must be incorporated.

See you in Vegas

psssh...if you can get that EXACT same global gathering UK lineup in the US, i'm pretty sure you can sell 50,000 tickets. i'm not trying to diss your event, but at least the UK festivals have decent rock acts. srsly, who the fuc listens to papa roach? and the dj talent is nothing to brag about...tiesto and tommy lee? but then again, there is a market for everyone so i'm sure this will be a success. good luck man

Nope not just with EDM and especially if the festival is in it's infant stages of devellopment.

Also yah your right about the talent(no body said it was over the top) it is not all that but it is something and the whole conecpt as I said earlier makes for a great week end.

i just find it hard to believe 50,000 people wouldn't show up to see EVERY dj known to man for one weekend. everyone from fatboy slim to tiesto is there man. they also have areas with hip hop and rock djs at the festival. don't forget, a lot of people from the USA fly out to the UK every year just for this party...anyways, i hope your event goes as planned. like i said, there is a market for everyone...and you can't go wrong in vegas

I agree with your statement to a point. the US has had major EDM events. If anyone remembers these older events-

Cyberfest-2001 in fresno fair grounds(probaly 30-35k people)
How sweet it is-2000 or 2001 out in some fair grounds-20-25k people
Nocturnal wonderland-2000 in the polo fields-had to be 20-25k people
Tribal Massive-97 to 99- 20k people
Ultra Music Festival-2001 to present-40k people?
Detroit Electronic Music Festival-30-40k poeple?

now granted things were much different now than 5 years ago, but I still think there is a big enough market to throw a 30-40k person event with just EDM in todays day and age-BIG DJ's and a HOLIDAY weekend is all you need
