Sorry to bitch, but you do know the Q10 is overloading by 1.5 dB, right? Sure this might have occured during tweaking (which still isn't a good thing), but seeing as though your compressor's output gain isn't set up to match that of the level going into the compressor, I thought I'd mention it. Keeping your levels well under control is probably the most important thing to mixing.

And, why so many EQ nodes? A cut at 16 Hz, a boost at 28 Hz, a highpass at 36 Hz (which, by the way, you can't boost by 9.2 dB). It really doesn't have to be so complicated (although I guess it does provide a way to somewhat adjust the Q on the highpass filter).

Anyway, no use judging it without hearing it of course, but get those levels sorted if it really sounds the way it looks.

Hehe.. no need for fuzzing guys. Regarding someones question about what kind of keys i use i my basslines! Well the all depends on the track. I use different patterns all the time, and the i layer them and stuff.. so i cant give u a direct answer to that.. sorry! Youll just hav eto use your imagination, but it you could start by having a subbass on a K.BB.K.BB.K.BB. And work from that!

And to mr Atlantis:
When i did this bassline, i just used my ears, and tweaked, so i know it doesnt look pretty, but try i out and then tweak of taste! You could probobly make it sound better, but i thought i had a nich "growl" and drive, so i just used it!

Sounds very positive indeed, ah well, I'm not gonna waste substorm's work here on the topic. I'll keep out, just don't think because someone isn't native English he doensn't understand you.

I was expecting something about rythmic drive, but I guess not.
Cool, tutorial though.

Fair enough. The thing I was getting at though, is that you when your output gain on the compressor is right down at -6.9 dB, for one you're not able to hear the effect of the compressor properly, because you're hearing a drop in level rather than the actual compression, and two, your levels are going to be pointlessly flying up and down throughout the mix (the saturator is increasing it by 10.3 dB again), when in fact you're much better off keeping things constant so that you can actually hear the before and after effects objectively. The accepted approach is to increase the makeup gain on the compressor by a few dB's so that the level remains more or less the same when the compressor is bypassed - a technique that took me all too long to adapt.

I do not find that pricy at all: going price back then was euro 800-1000, so the guy who sold it to me at this dusty organ shop , obviously did not know what gem he had in his hands. Bless him!

BTW : you convinced me to keep the TB 303 and fix or replace the sync box. Earlier I was thinking I'd sell it. If I should change my mind: would you buy it? (for more then euro 130, but I'll make you a sweet price?

Maybe! Ill "suck" on it for a while k? I have some other economical issues to deal with first! Just got back from a two week holiday in greece, so im a bit behind, but its not impossible. Though i have to figure out how to get it from NL - SWE! But i guess its easy to fix, if i where to buy it!

But i appriciate the offer, i have always wanted one! But ill get back to you on that!

Cheers

thanks. how do i change it now?

put the ArguZTB.skn file and the ArguZTB folder in your AR Bassline program folder.

Start up AR Bassline. There's a menu under the "options" button on the interface of AR wich allows you to load a different skin file. Skin files end with the extension .skn.
