just curious. As much as I love "electro house" im getting a little tired of the whole fart synth sound.

Because what you determine as "electro" i.e. fart synths in a vain mcwhitey attempt at being funky, isn't electro. If anything it's tech house, but moreover it's just tacky clichd overdone 2005 fad house.

Electro exists. Electro should remind you of robots spooning on the moon. It's got true mcwhitey funk to it, and it sounds entirely 80's. Electro house I think exists too, it's just I'm not familiar with it, and neither is anybody on the board most likely, though they can recognize the existence of it.

um, no. They make tracks that sound different to what I am talking about. The style I am talking about has a specific type of drums.

The kicks and snares always sound cool.

They play this type of music on Friday and Saturday nights on Triple-J (Australian radio station)

Ah, the old stumbling block of any Meneedit thread. I remember naming a load of random melodic trance and claiming they were all connected by their "nice synths".

ah, another shot at meneedit.

anyway, list some artists from this style of music that actually have albums

Let's put it simply, shall we? You're asking for recommendations and when you get them you turn them down because they don't fit your parameters which you haven't specified. What are we supposed to do? What you usually expect us to do in these threads and reel off every name we can think of so you can pick the ones you like and complain about the rest?

Posted by meneedit on Aug-23-2006 01:39:

really tight snappy sounding beats with fuzzy basslines and a tempo thats more than likely above 145.

happy now? not that that info is useful.

lyrics from some of these songs:

"I like it raw"

"shake it like a cobra"

whatever, dont worry about it guys.

i don't think any house song is above 145...most of the songs you like are down around 126-130....

all you gotta do is search electro house and you're gonna be home free there

Electro House is definitely not above 135.
But try Mark Dynamix. Probably more your style!

Zoo Brazil, Luke Walker, Beckster, Moonbootica, Oliver Huntman (aka H-Man I think), Orange Bud, Justin Xara, Audio Mindz, Dave Robertson, Thomas Schumacher. There are a few names.. not all electro house strictly, some more tech house and slighlty progressive techy house. but based on some of the suggestions so far you might benefit from listening to some of these.

To add:
Stephen Bodzin (along w/Schumacher in the group Elecktrochemie), any Fergie - Live@Radio1 sets (would highly recommend, great range from electro to techno in his Radio1 sets)
Chris Lake, Micky Slim - very "electro" & are blowing up right now.
Huntemann & Schumacher have been on fire for quite some time.
MYNC Project, Mark Knight

If you could, you would make my day

Thank you.

You would likely enjoy Fergies Weekly set, you can stream live from the site ( bbc.co.uk/radio1/fergie ) and you can find at TMB.
