From someone who houseboats on the Shuswap regularly...I find it so ironic that you missed all the stakes and hazards on Nielsen Beach only to get it in the parking lot. I still have my scar on a shin from taking a stake hard last year.

P.S. Houseboating FTW!

Hahah, back in July while I was in BC, we had a picture like this taken as well, but I was front row centre, drunk as fuck and falling into a boquet of 80 long stem roses as my cousins attempt to hold me up.

I wish the picture was digital, because it is absolutely amazing.

If you're refering to the 4 younger women on the right they range from 15-33...

Any more info and I'll just have to kill you...

Oddly enough we spent 1 night at Nielsen Beach and it was pretty quiet. Mind you our trip was mid week rather than on the weekend so that could explain a lot of things.

Shuswap is beautiful. One of my best vacations ever.

Welcome to my homeland RJ...I do miss it that's for sure...

Glad you had an awesome time (minus the boat thingy)

The 33 one (the one holding the dog) would be my sis...
She'd probably do more damage to you than me; she's a big girl but a complete slobbering sissy when it comes to her two little she-she dogs...

I'm already tabulating IP addresses and a big Yukon with tinted windows should be at your door momentarily...

He then stuck his finger 2 knuckles deep through the hole in the skin on my knee and scooped/swept debris out from the pocket of skin that had formed. It was unnerving to have ones knee manipulated that way (from under the skin). He also used some large tweezers to pick hard ground in stones.

I can honestly say that that is the moment where I would have passed out. Pain or no pain. I'm feeling a little woozy as I type just getting the mental image.

Ouch. That looks like a lot of hurt.

I spent 3 weeks in Kamloops in Aug. Beautiful place. Don't wanna live there forever though

Now I need advice RJ. I just got the biggest raspberry on my leg that I've ever had on Saturday. I was doing a routine ass-down slide to third, when the other player landed on me during the slide, making me go sideways.

The result isn't pretty. Click to enlarge if you're a masochist.

Reg'd nurse saw it and I cleaned it out ok. Right after it happened, I too had to pour water on it, and rub it good until the dirt came out. That was the worst part I though. Nurse it's now not infected (polisporined it), and best way to heal it is to air it out. Fine I said, but NOW it's hardenning up, and is stretching the skin beneath and around, and it feels like my flesh is ripping, reminiscent of Robbie Williams in his Rock DJ video.

When with this pain end? I'm running out of Tylenon 3s.

Yikes! Just like you should wear pants when on a motorcycle, so should one do when playing baseball/softball.

"airing it out" is NOT the best thing to do. The best thing to do is to gently clean it with a mild soap and water every morning in the shower, then apply a thin film of the polysporin and then wrap it in a clean compress (tape it on).

The polysporin will keep it moisturized, reduce scarring and also speed healing. Airing it out will do nothing more than dry it out and cause it to crack and hurt.

1 week of the wash/polysporin/cover and you'll be magik.

Good luck! I hope you heal soon.

exactly. after someone I know managed to slice of a part of their finger tip (just flesh), the ER doctor said to clean and soak daily (peroxide in this case), then apply polysporin and lightly wrap with compress w/tape.

doesn't scabbing actually inhibits/prolongs the healing process and just aid in preventing infection (vs. their being no scab and no other medical treatment)?

*ouch!!! after i went through a windshield and had 33 stitches on my forehead (doctor's told me i needed plastic surgery b/c it was completely shredded. all the nerves were cut. it was that bad! i even had shifted eyebrows!) i just used peroxide and massive amounts of pure vitamin E oil that i squeezed out of capsules. this is the only thing that saved my face (not needing plastic surgery). make sure to keep it moist and clean on a daily basis. the vitamin E works absolute wonders! it accellerates the healing process with minimal scarring.

wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

Thank you dk (and u don't need PS ). So I developped a swollen member since yesterday.

My leg got fat, and other details I will refrain for the weak-stomached.

I just got back from hospital, and got an pennicilin IV, and an insanely irritating shunt is stuck in my hand till dinner tomorrow, so they can IV me again. I'll be on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories for the next 2 weeks, so no dancing and drinking at the BBQ, and I can't dance right now, which could not come at any worse time as I was looking forward to the LoL weekend.

Can anyone recommend some good dance moves with a cane? f*ck this blows.

AJ
