After I decided to study some of the stuff by myself, and I realised how poorly grammar was taught in school (they convince most of us that we don't even know proper grammar), it all makes me wonder whether the rest of the things I learnt are true at all.
A friend of mine that is majoring in Biology once mentioned that she is often told by her teachers to "forget what she saw in High School", because that's not the real thing. That's exactly how I feel about linguistics, and this makes me wonder:
Why the hell did we learn all those things then?

This might not be a lie... but I always hated how every year, a teacher/speaker would yell at us for acting like the grade we were just in.
Every single year, they would tell us the same shit. Since 1st grade.. "You guys are acting like a bunch of kindegarteners!" to high school. In 10th grade, I'm like "Didn't you tell us to behave like 9th graders just a year ago?" Up until senior fucking year "Jesus! You guys are acting like a bunch of 11th graders!"
It's so fucking hilarious when you hear the same thing year after year.
