i need to make it my mission in life to meet Ishkur
he's got some very valid points there
especially on the 'favorite track right now favorite dj' thing

That isn't DJing. I heard Junkie XL once saying in a interview that he doesn't and can't even DJ.

1. Matthew Dekay - see my sig... Cant get enuff of this guy and his talent blows me away. He needs my vote

2. Armin van Buuren - still my fave DJ, hands down, but like i said, Dekay needed my vote

3. Hernan Cattaneo - imo the best compilation of the yr. (Sequential)

4. Perry O'Neil - another sound i cant get enuff of.

5. Filo & Peri - great talent. Saw Bo (Peri) tear up an amazing tech-house set in Croatia this summer. And just cause they're my boys

Here's my vote, which is pretty eclectic.

1 Christopher Lawrence- Saw him recently & lost my mind. Think he heard me screaming...and he was a little afraid.

2 Alphazone- Haven't seen them live, but Resonate 5 converted me into a Hard Trance fan. Now I can't imagine my life without Alphazone & they should really come DJ in Pennsylvania; it is a lovely place with trees, and rolling hills, and... ME

3 BT- Now here is my lengthy explanation. On TA, people bash BT for being a lousy DJ, and yeah I know, he's a producer, not a DJ. But I've seen him twice this year & I like that he mashes up rock music, mixes in his own songs (usually his best like Flaming June), and throws in a banging mix of something not quite new, but good. BT upstaged the mighty Tiesto in Atlantic City three weeks ago. I know that being a huge fan of BT clouds my judgement, but BT is a pleasure to see live.

4 DJ Irene- Not into hardcore, but I saw her put on a great show.

5 Josh Wink- While Ishkur's post discourages us from plugging a local DJ, I figured maybe somebody heard of him

While Josh Wink may be from Philly, I'd hardly call him a "local DJ." If you haven't heard of him, you probably shouldn't be allowed to vote to start with.

They totally suck and use premixed CD's half of the times
They shouldn't be in the top 100 in the first place... Please don't support these posers. They even admit themselves they aren't real dj's.

Armin van Buuren
Ferry Corsten
Mark Norman
Johan Gielen
ATB

the usual suspects

That may very well be the truth but they have entertained and made people dance as much as ANY dj/djs ive seen this year. Isnt that all part of the poll? If it was for sheer technical ability then it would bne a hip hop dj so get s fuking grip
