sander van doorn is my #1 because he's mostly impressed me bc of his continous non-stop *massive* tracks and remixes he's produced all year, and then the essential mix which is by far the best essential mix i've heard in the last 3years 
Because he's my favorite funky/melodic/cheesy/electro-ish house DJ.
Plus, Masiello is a pimp.
Danny Howells, because no one has yet made me dance more than this man in 2006.
The only reason I vote in the first place is simply because I'm a mindless sheep who can't help but follow the masses.
It was probably Tiesto or some damn thing.

Well...I voted for Ferry Corsten because his sets just fucking rock! I've catched him live on 2 occassions and they were one of the best sets I've ever heard. I love how he's playing all sorts of genres right now, starting with house, then electro, then trance, techno and some bangin tech trance.
I saw Paul van Dyk last November and that was one of the best sets I've ever heard...if not the best. But I decided for Ferry in the end because I didn't hear PvD do anything great after that unlike Ferry.

since im a dedicated Ferry fan, he will always be number 1 unless he completely changes and makes/spins music I can not listen to at all.
Armin should be number 1 though, I mean, he owns Trance with ASOT.

Ferry Corsten. Why? Because I saw him in Denver and it was, by far, the best set I have seen from a trance DJ and rekindled my interest in the genre that had fallen off after being hugely dissapointed by generic and shitty sets from PvD and Tiesto. Amazing, energetic, danceable.
I was tempted to vote for Infected Mushroom as they spun the most out-of-control, crazy set I have ever seen, but I'm not really a psy fan so I couldn't bring myself to vote for them.

I voted for Armin Van Buuren.. I voted him No. 1 last year too..
Yeah there might be better DJs than him; but its not a poll for best DJ ever in history of Trance music.. its a poll for best DJ for year 2006... and its obvious AvB ruled this year.
