Rich: Your review really help us, thank you!

Snowave: Im glad you like it! Its up to PhilB to decide about the vocal, he will send you a PM. But I can always write you another lyric.

track production is very good

lyrics are vry good

inmplementation of vocals in to the track is bad, what ahppened!?

first of all the sync is so off, someone probably allready noticed.
and second is what happaned to the high band of the freq of the vocals? they differ very much from the track.

some obvious issues here, come one solve them and make this track as great as it should be!

Posted by Sinnica Hax on Sep-14-2006 08:48:

Hello

vocals is a weeeeeeeee bit high, but maybe its just me. other then that I dont have anything to "complain" about, anyway what right would I have to do that anyway, its not my track

keep up the good work!

Posted by Akia on Sep-14-2006 09:05:

Thank you MeLtrA! We are beginners with vocals, working on it.

LOL! You right >>FK, the vocals are absolutely to high! And actually we WANT complains, thats the reason why we put it in here. We learning from that. So thank you very mutch for your complain !

Posted by Akia on Sep-14-2006 09:41:

Bad you erased it , maybe you wrote something good to know!

Cool! I will check it out, its a nice track!

Hi!
Need to review something to you. you have been reviewed all of my tunes lately.
Is it you who have produced, or you who just sing?

Very nice production like the soundpicture alot. but, I`m just honest, and have to say the singing seems a bit weak!! What have you used when you recorded it? the voice are very nice very trancelike.
I would love to hear a version with better "recording". then it will be IMO "Indie-trance" (genere), who is very cool!

but. very good!

Posted by Akia on Sep-14-2006 17:50:

Hi Rayan! No, I have not done anything with the production, I have just write the lyrics and sing it. I record in Blaze Audio/VoiceSFX, with a Sennhieser 815S microphone. Not the most exclusive things maybe but I had no thoughts to sing in the real produktion, my voice is not that good. But Phil wanted to keep it anyway. And actually, it sounds better than I thought ! What do you think? What can I do to make the vocals sounds better? I am not a singer so any advice appreciates!

Posted by Timothy on Sep-14-2006 18:13:

Nice vocals, I really like it. I think the vocals need to be tweaked more to fit better in the track. But overall it's very nice. Hope to hear a final version soon.

Posted by Akia on Sep-14-2006 18:18:

Thank you Timothy! PhilB is working on it.

Posted by Rayan on Sep-14-2006 18:30:

ohh Blaze Audio/VoiceSFX :P hehe.. Try out Steinberg Wavlab hmm.. never heard about that mic. Well. I serious think you sing good and, that the vocals need to be tweaked alot. or be "recorded" again.. because to "boost" up some bad recording is just stupid. all that noise etc comes to. So, my honest opinion would be to record again Like I said, Its nothing wrong with your voice. is just that its not "mixed" so good in the song. and It shuld have been Eq`ed, noisereductioned, made it dry, and one wet. Then add some deley, and a nice vocal reverb
As I also remember from the tune, the vocal was lauder some places, and not so laud. So, "changed some volume" at the lower parts have been nice to get it on the right glide as the rest of the song.
If you did understand

you can always pm Swamper about the nickname to change it to whatever you want

about the track it sounds nice to me. I like the vocals, the lyrics are really nice, but the vocals a bit off in places, should sync them better in the track. The whole production also needs some improvement, especially some eq work here and there, but it has potential in my opinion.

good luck with this one,

cheers,
Peter

Thank you for your feedback Peter, glad you like the lyrics and the vocal , it means a lot!

Posted by PhilB on Sep-16-2006 10:37:

Hey there!
Here is a new version of the track.
PhilB & Akia - Knight of Dark
I basically changed the vocal parts here and there and the bassline (a little more "subby" now, and not too "present" ... hard to describe lol)
I hope it sounds better than the old version, cause i didnt know what else to do lol.
Thanks for all the advices given here!
Cheers!
Ciao Phil

the vocal is alittle off i think
and its kinda hard to understand everything you sing
but overall the track is very nice
well produced
nice melodies
good job!

Posted by mavve on Sep-16-2006 22:45:

hellooooo Mavve is listening =) sounds good but as mentioned the vocals are to dull and litle out of pitch , I like the new baseline, Im used to work with vocals this is what I do when it sounds dull, open a new chanel and put the vocals in there after pitch correction in melodyne , then add a compresor and compress to make the vocal stick out and compress hard, then I add some mono delay and use either 1/4t or 1/4 about 15-20 % mix on it whit 30 % feedback then the thing that makes it sound crisp I use a PSP vintage warmer you will figure out how to use it if you alredy dont and then add the reverb needed that shoud fix the vocal problem , Btw Skn rst du jade akia =)

my 2 cents! I think bye bye , Btw dont forget to coment My latest track its here in the forum some where and the vocals vocals are mad ein the way I wrote =) keep it up http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=370159

Posted by Sinnica Hax on Sep-17-2006 14:02:
