do you have anything beneficial to add to this thread? most likely not, since you seem to be limited to words like poo poo head and fart.

i don't want this to continue in this thread. start your own thread called 'bse is a poopoo head' or some childish shit like that. stop comprimising this thread with childish banter.

I will point out the following about time.......it winds down instead of up........universe is winding down.......all from the 2nd law of thermodynamics...........read up on it..........

i guess because events happen in succesion, they happen in succesion in something, and this we named time.

Also: people thought that the universe was expanding at a slower and slower rate. From this they theorized that eventually it would stop expanding, and then start collapsing, until all the matter collapsed together. Then perhaps it would explode again in another "big bang." However some of the most recent evidence suggests that the universe is expanding at a faster and faster rate, and so the universe may not ever collapse but just keep expanding.

Look for "Nova" a US tv program which often has topics such as this.

IMO, time is existance. we created a measurement for it just as me created a measurement for distance. Here to there is this many feet, i ahve "one hour" until i have to be there.... whatever. the real mindfuck is in Event Horizon. This ship uses a gravity drive to fold time-space. Ill Explain.

-Consider a piece of paper being folded in half. Eventually you will not be able to fold any more because the paper "exists" and cannot pass though itself.

-Now, apply this principle to folding time-space. it folds, and when it gets the point where paper would stop, it keeps going because it can pass though itself.... so now you have two pieces of space that in actuality are hunderd of light years, or whatver youw ant to call a really long distance, that are actually exisating in the exact same time-space.

-the ship now moves from "florida(point b)" through a folded "untied states (space)" to "cali(point b)" in a matter of seconds and over the distance it takes to clear the hole.

now this is some amazing shit i'd say...

TTA EDIT #2.......what i had to said in this post earlier was'nt worth reading so i edited it.

if u havent noticed BSE everyone who replies has something totally out of context to say...just as if i were to say right now that in theory if u hovered over a black hole for 10 mins and u returned to earth 1 billion years would have passed...it has nuthing to do what the discussion is abt therefore is useless in the discussion...i will repeat again if u want to learn more READ A BOOK!

But black holes are supposed to not be governed by time......or are they......

ok. black holes aren't actually proven to exist, since you cannot see them. it's just speculation. and you could never 'hover' above one. you would be sucked into it, stretched infinitely in all directions, and spread out through space. can you exist inside of one? no one knows, most likely not, as it is so dense inside the hole that not even light itself can escape it's pull.

i'm honestly apologizing to you all for ruining the thread.....won't happen again.......i lost it.......i'm actually off to do some reading on the subject of time n shit.......and i'll post my findings later......another time.......

he was not backing me up..he was just saying its true what im saying...this is a very complexed discussion with no answers so to listen to ppl who have not done the math nor have takin the time to fully understand everything there is to know abt the subject is pointless...its like asking a blind man for directions...and im not mad at u and not ticked off....if im ticked off u will know .. i was just trying to help out this discussion...and trust me im fascinated with all that is/was said here but remember it is all speculation...like u said theories...




ps my goal in life is to become an astronaut no matter how silly it seems but i would love to see the earth from another view and see how small it really is

and yes it is physically impossible to hover above a blackhole...but its a theory...


and blackholes do exist and can be tracked and are monitored....they have found many...

the way they find them monitor them is that they refract a certain type of light and by monitoring the stars using a special type of xray they can see where blackholes are...

but blackholes tie into parallel universes and tears in the universe and a whole lot more which is extremely complicated and almost impossible to understand

okay.. vivid.. and about this reading the book thing.. i'm not trying to start an argument, but knowbody knows what time actually is, and what its doing.. all thier writings are thieories and they are not true either.. this is a discussion where there is no right, and no wrong, because we have no evidence to support either..

But isn't that the same with time itself.....no one understands it because time is not physically touchable.......we know that time goes on and most of us have no clue why...........interesting imo.
