From experience, a relationship involving distance works only as much as those involved do to keep it good.

First sentence = not true
2nd = true.

cuz of our distance we aren't able to see each other that often.. Especially since coming down more then once a month would mean more $$ being spent and not saved for him to come down sooner

Just as long as both parties are into it strongly then it will work.

that sucks
at least i get weekends

ive been in one for a year and three months...it was long distance right from the start and were both in different countries..shes in miami and im in costa rica...i get to see her for like 2-3 weeks every three months...unless i take time of school and go visit. We talk everyday, and i trust her. It's getting much harder now not so much just because of distance..but thats another story,
It takes lots of commitment and love for the person to make it work..and to know what you have with eachother is worth the hassle of being apart for periods of time. I jsut came back sunday from visiting her and it's worth it, but here i am missing her terribly which fkn sucks..so it's really a double edge sword.

Yes. Proof

Plus there's no one that compares to him so why wouldn't it work

normally ppl that ask the cor a question recieve 12 cor answers before someone actually responds to what they asked

unless it goes off topic from the start, then you got nothing.

cor = chill out room = the forum you're posting in = the forum full of people who think cock pumps and buttseckz are the answers to all of life's problems

Yes, I tried it once, and hated it. Of course a lot of people will tell you that a long distance relationship will only damage a relationship that is already in trouble. Some people can do it well, though, so more power to them. There's only one way to find out if it'll work for you.

Posted by TCB on Sep-12-2006 20:37:

only ever seen it work once. seen alot of friends go away promising the long distance thing only for it to end. meh waste of time unless your really committed.

Posted by luisjb82 on Sep-12-2006 23:01:

Good luck, I don't believe in long distance relationships... but as I said, good luck.

Posted by Insomnia`SF on Sep-13-2006 00:27:

i can't even believe people still try to make this work. It's like trying to take that 3rd dose, IT JUST NEVER WORKS!

Posted by idoru on Sep-13-2006 00:36:

I've never seen one work.

Posted by Spike on Sep-13-2006 00:41:

i say its ok startin one up...just have fun while it lasts, n dont get ur hopes up. like stated b4; they almost never work unless ur really really committed n all that bs.

You mean there not!?!?! ah shit!

I have two friends who ahve been in a relationship for well over 5 years now thats spaned damn near all of the earth (my bud works in the oil industry...)

Anyway, trust me they are the perfect couple and shit allmost ended twice because my bud went and hooked up with another chick. Luckily for him im here being the middle man and willing to help in anyway.

Id have to say that more often than not long distance relationships don't work (fucknuts im looking into a chick who's 1 hour away by plane if shes still in the carribean or 9+ hours away in canada, guess its best I wait till she moves back from collage)

in my experience, long distance relationships only work if you're both extremely committed to each other and to making the relationship work. you need to establish very strong bonds when it comes to trust, communication, etc...

Exactly, and even though you might think you have the dedication for it, you'll never know for sure that she does - even if she tells you she does. In the end that's what ruined it for me.

Posted by PaperBag831 on Sep-13-2006 01:50:

i feel like if it were meant to be, aka the perfect relationship, then both would be 100% committed and not wanting to touch anyone else. And in such cases, you shouldn't have to wonder if they like you as much.. you would know.

Posted by igottaknow on Sep-13-2006 01:55:

how are you?

good and you?

I'm fine but wish we could be together

Posted by hiram on Sep-13-2006 04:23:

thanks for all the replies..im gonna decide to give it a try. i dont really have anything to lose and we both are willing to at least try and make it work. you dont know what it could be if u never try

Excellent attitude.

Posted by Danny Ocean on Sep-13-2006 04:48:

you do have a lot to lose actually, but life is all about risks..usually high risk = high reward. And yes, wondering what if is the worst thing there is.
