WTF is going on at 53 minutes.

TUNE! FUck man. fucking amazing track selection- you hit it on this one!

Yeah, that's my re-edit of Blake's remix of Dane Cook - It's really proven itself (both live and in this promo) to be pretty versatile (great segue tune), and in general just a lot of fun to play with/mash up parts of.

Thanks for the thoughts Greg - This is honestly the mix I've probably been the most absolutely happy with, and as you said, it came together extremely naturally. It's just a bunch of sounds that I personally really, really like

Naaaaiiiiice!

Thanks for the listen/comments Stren - I was hoping you'd dig it, as this grew completely organically out of me listening to Danny Howell's "Nocturnal Frequencies 3" repeatedly for the last few weeks

Thanks for the DL's guys - Really looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks!

Danny Howells brings out the best in everybody I don't think i've heard this cd though. This mix is really badass and my favourite from you.

It's official; This thread contains the best reviews for a set that I have ever received.

People are fucking to it, people want to fuck it, people are doing drugs and listening to it, there's masturbating going on... What more could I ask for!

And to top it all off...

33:30 didnt like the mix, it was slightly abrupt. Good mix, but just, in my drunk/stonedness, I noticed the abrupt change.

But with this next buildup, its seeming less important...

I think that's necessary for "Deer in the Headlights"

I wanted an abrupt drop, and then just the chugging build of "Deer" to kind of set the tone for the rest of the set... I knew it'd be one that some people might not like, but I stand by it... TOTALLY reminds me of hearing Digweed drop it as his opener at Pawn Shop in Miami (Only difference is he played like 9 minute of it, I took a significant chunk out )

Your October Demo from last year is the reason I'm obsessed with those guys.

Thanks Clovis - Glad to hear you enjoyed it m8!

Your mix has already garnered some positive feedback from the masses and I almost feel guilty to say what Im about to say, but what the hec! I listen to a ton of sets and not all of them revolve around my tastes. For the sets that dont tickle my fancy I always try to find some common ground with at least one track that I can identify with, but with this set I could not find one. Sorry RJT I really did try. To sum this puppy up I just want to say keep doing what you love and never settle for less musicwise.

As opposed to Clovsha's mix that went a little too much 'everywhere' for my liking, this mix could've done with just a little more of that for me.

It's a good effort with good mixing (I like the way 'Deer' is mixed in) but by the end of the mix it got just a little bit bland for me.
The way the first 5 tunes are put together, is great tho. All in all, listening was still time well spent

Oh and that track round the 49:00 mark is insane

Stevie don't ever be sorry for being honest - It only helps

Thanks for the listen and the thoughts m8!

I think the best way I can respond to both of these sets of criticism is to say that when I was putting this together, I knew it would only be a short while until I heard thoughts along the lines of the both of yours. The tracks in this set aren't necessarily going to be as accessible as a lot of what else is out there, and the flow of the set without doubt caters to a very specific mood.

Stevie, I think in general this was probably just a bit to far away from your own preferred style of EDM for you to really enjoy; And brotha, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. "EDM" is so broad that at the end of the day, creating a set that will appeal across the board to the masses would be near impossible. I really do appreciate your listening with a critical ear.

And Emre, in general, I'm guessing that where your struggle with this comes in around the time that "Drug Addict" or "Deer" comes in. It's another part of the set that I knew right from the get go that if people didn't instantly "buy it" or understand the kind of tone I was going for in that second 3rd of the set, they'd more than likely either be bored or irritated at the "bleepy" section of the mix. Again, I think it might be personal preference, but there's also a good chance I could have done a bit more editing and created a touch more flow to the end of the set.

Thanks again guys - Really apreciate the feedback!

Well, if a "demo" is supposed to work for you, this one has certainly worked VERY hard for me... Thanks to everyone who's listened to it and contacted me about bookings/radio shows etc.

I am eternally grateful!
