Why Im listening to Z at work is beyond me, BUT... last time I had it on they switched it from " This is Miami " to " This is Ibiza " , lol.

I like This is Miami, toa certain extent, but now it's getting a little over played.

OHHHHHH and I could go a while without hearing " World hold on " as well as, " Put Your Hands Up For Detroit "

A lot of the songs listed I'm okay with, as I haven't heard them very often since I don't go out that much.

Another option is to expand your range of genres. A while back when I was ONLY listening to Trance, I easily got tired of many tracks. But as the list of genres I listen to and keep up with expanded, I found that it was much less frequent than before... it only occurs with tracks that REALLY get played a lot.

Conclusion: Stay home more often or listen to more than just House and/or Trance. There are a lot of other great genres out there! (and I'm not talking about just edm)

But to add to the list, a track that is seriously over played (even tho I still love it) is Pendulum - Slam... it feels like just about every dj that plays any style of breakbeat has that track, lol.

supposedly sharam jey did a remix of this.. i need to find it. he's a sick producer and has been one of my favorites this past year.

he did ev, it's available on beatport.....

it's pretty good, definately longer shelf life than the original.

lol

Ah yes This Is Miami... that song needs to be blown up and destroyed to be never played again. I could not stand it when I first heard it and I never will. As for the rest of the 99% of the mainstream trance... all that sh!t needs to go too.

Underworld- Born Slippy
THIS TRACK NEEDS TO DIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

As the Rush Comes used to be my other despised track, but since everyone stopped playing it anyways, I won't complain.

It has found new life as a stripper tune.

I dono, this song holds a special place in my heart. One of the saturday nights in june Mark Oliver closed with World Hold On (Axwell Remix).

i think that was the greatest ending i have ever seen. Just a perfect song to finish off a night, cuz it slows everything down and the lyrics make u think about the fact that its time to think about the future and stop partying... plus if u with a girl this song is so good to make out to

i can't be arsed to read through this whole thread, but for me it's:

ame - rej

barf. so overrated.

Posted by DigitalMP on Oct-11-2006 15:25:

lol @ this thread!!

songs are overplayed because:

a) you overplay them
b) you don't listen to enough subgenres of house (or other genres)
c) you go to the same places all the time, where the same djs spin basically the same thing, with a couple tracks substituted each night
d) you listen to the radio, where everything played is overplayed.

a) if i don't like somehing, i don't play it. thus, it does not get overplayed by ME
b) i listen to a lot of different kinds of music
c) i hear tracks that are overplayed in different sets by different djs and in different clubs (specifically the damn REJ that just won't die )
d) i don't listen to the radio.

soooo....i still find stuff being overplayed despite the fact that i don't fit any of your points.
