See the difference is in which is correct my present perception or my past perception. Given that we generally accept one's perception is more accurate when one is sober as opposed to intoxicated we should must also accept that my present perception of your humour is more accurate then my past perception. Therefore, logically, you are not funny (in my eyes).

So, it really has nothing to do with me being funny but, rather if you are on drugs or not.

Indeed, if I'm on drugs you appear to be funny, if sober I realize you are not funny. The truth is you've always been the same (which is to say not funny despite your best efforts), it is only my perception that has changed.

...actually, I suppose that's part grammar, part semantics...anyways, in the first, it isn't clear that you are the one, in fact, experiencing the effects of said drugs. You might be employing them to perform menial labor or employing them as tools of a plot to rule the world. Not even the form of "employ" is clear.
