I wouldn�t go as far as to say that I�m a coffee snob, but I definitely don�t like crappy, watered down coffee. I wont drink a bad cup just because it�s coffee. I�m fine with foldgers instant, but I definitely appreciate (and usually buy) the better stuff like Barnie�s or Starbucks�
Not a big fan of all the flavored shit either. The only time I like flavored coffee is when I have it after dinner during the holidays or something like that. But during the week, my cup in the morning is just cream and sugar. LOTS of cream and lots of sugar (2 equal).

I like the flavor of coffee but I don't like to actually drink coffee. I like coffee ice cream and shakes. But I do like Vanilla or Raspberry Lattes w/Honey. I used to drink White Chocolate Mochas but I found them to be too sugary. Vanilla lattes are lighter...
I'm a tea snob.
I have maybe 100 dollars worth of tea but I don't really drink tea anymore these days ( can't really handle it anymore cause of my health issues ).
Recently my mother wanted to make some iced tea and she didn't have any cheap stuff and I offered to let her use some of one of my expensive teas ( 100 grams cost 25 dollars ) ... she didn't want to!
She snobbed my snob tea 
Caffeine is addicting and I'm a hypocrite to say that's the reason why I don't drink coffee but really I used to drink tons of tea before

My latest crazy is full 100% Kona or else Pea Berry Kona. Only the best and I only drink black. Why hide the taste behind sweets and creams?

when you have your own grinder and you grind your coffee beans every morning
A lot of supermarkets here sell unground coffee and have a grinder in the store so you just grind it then.

I'd love to roast my own beans but I've yet to find anyplace in my town that sells raw beens.
My daily coffee intake has been going down recently.. Too much didn't really do me any good.. But I can really value a decent cup of it, yes.
And black, of course.
Whatever coffee you fancy, always make sure you are using the proper preparation methods. All too often, I come across people who think good beans = good coffee.
Think about your brewing equipment. I personally think that French Presses are the best way to drink coffee because there isn't a paper filter that will soak up a lot of the essential oils that hold the suttleties of coffee.
Then theres water. Make sure you are using good clean filtered water (preferably bottled.)
Then there's proportion. It is recommended that for every 3 oz of coffee you want brewed, you add 1 tbsp of ground coffee.
Then there's grind itself. If you are going to use a French Press, always use the coarsest grind on your grinder. If you brew with an espresso machine, get it as fine as you can. Flat bottom paper filter machines should be at a medium grind.
After you ensure all of this, then you can start thinking about what coffee beans you like. I am digging a few things from Starbucks right now. I love their Anniversary Blend which is extra bold with hints of spice. My all time Starbucks favorite is their Caffe Verona which has dark chocolate notes which makes it pair well with chocolate desserts.
