. I figure making the switch from PC to Mac won't be that tough because I have to use both at work anyway. I already have Ableton and plan on getting Protools, Reason, or Cubase or SOMETHING as I believe it is now time for me to produce or at least edit my own tracks
anyone with a macremote download remotebuddy!
found it this week and it works wonders!

So I have my mac book pro and I bought a monitor just so I could get the desktop feel when I'm at home...
And I just figured out that you can 'un-mirror' your display and can use both the displays. One for the menu and and the other to extend the desktop for two monitors.
Its soo cool cos now I can use more desktop space....I know this is a common feature but I just figured it out...
Anyone know any cool 'mac' stuff which I could play around with???

here's the deal
I recently got a macbook pro and ended up getting the exact same model as a gift from family a few weeks later..still sealed and boxed, tryin to get rid of it so PM me if ur interested in gettin one at a good deal
specs:
15.4" monitor
2.16Ghz dual core processor
1 GB RAM
100GB Hard Drive
256MB Video Card
+ everything else that comes standard w/ the model..
what sort of range mac would i need to buy for running applications like cubase and possibly logic? ive no real interest in gaming etc,
only what i mentioned before, and word processing, maybe photoshop etc
cheers
a macbook with 2gb ram would do just fine..small and portable.
Just bought a mac book pro yesterday. This is my first experience with the MAC os. I am trying to rid myself of all my 'windows type' thinking. there are a few things that I don't seem to understand (IE. I installed firefox as my web browser, but each time i turn on my PC it's gone!) so, I guess I'll just use safari until i manage to figure that out. I know I'm gonna love this mac though.. such a well built machine.
If you guys can recomend any good websites for me to check out in order to familiarize myself with this new OS, i'd greatly appreciate it.
get Omniweb for a web browser...it's the best one for Mac Os. It's on discount for november too.

I got one, I installed the new MSN messenger for Mac, and everytime I run it it places the drive icon on the desktop. If I try to eject it, it tells me that the application is still running. I can eject it when I close out of Messenger. It's weird because that's the only program that does that. Also, anyone know of any programs for a Mac that will burn cue files? I was looking for Buurrrn, but I can't remember how many u's and r's the name has so I can't google it
dont use the proper MSN use AMSN or Adium for MSN on Mac
