kind of but it has a dancefloor the size of the purple room and they often have various EDM events on the weekends turning it into more of a club atmosphere with tables and couches off on the sides... so really its not that much different than the Purple room.
It's sound system is decent but it's vibe/clientel is a bit more on the hippy/casual scaled back side compared to the trendy side you find at the PR (obviously it's mainly from the Rev outflow)

If you haven't checked it out on a EDM night you deffinatly should. I only checked it out in my last year in Waterloo and I wish I would have stuck my head in a lot sooner.

I love Starlight!

Dance floor is larger and roomier than the P-Room, but it's got enough seating on either side for peeps who wanna chill out. I'm hoping Jay Hunspberger gets his night back up again..he's been on hiatus for awhile now...he's brought alotta top-class techno artists there in the past

the only thing about starlight, is that the events there are so hit and miss, and not promoted enough.
but i'll deffinatly agree that the venue is really nice with a nice chill atmosphere. psudo Beba but a lot bigger

I was fortunate enough to open for Dharma Lab when we brought them to guelph this summer. Sadly I had soccer tournie in London so up at 6am did not make sence for me to go. Glad the night was a success.
