i don't want to nitpick here, but mubarak is not happy

mubarak = blessed

so its blessed ramadan

i love how this thread about fasting has been jacked into a fast food thread -_-

Posted by loca on Sep-25-2006 15:36:

I was gonna say happy Ramadan but... i'll go with blessed just in case.

Blessed Ramadan to those who are fasting!

OMG! Say it isn't so! Decisions made when you're starving aren't rational. Eat something and tell us again, or what happened?

Unfortunate news.

It's a very hard thing to figure out/understand when it happens - but I can assure you that the passing of time gives significant perspective and that the future can still be bright (maybe brighter than you ever knew possible).

If you want to talk about it - you know how to reach me.

BWAHAHAHA!

A few thousand others who attend tonight will be doing the same.

Posted by Omega_M on Oct-08-2006 20:32:

How many of you have heard of Iftar Dinners ? I'm not a muslim, but OMG, Iftar food is delicious and traditional Muslim food and it's god damn rich

The desire to fast only increases after you realizes the amount of fat consumed in the iftar dinner would need a day's fasting to digest anyways.

Posted by Magnetonium on Oct-08-2006 23:28:

Please list me the items you're not allowed to eat or do while on Ramadan. I want to see how far I fit in the picture ;-)

true...but i am fasting and just had iftar..so full!!!

Posted by zoogla on Oct-08-2006 23:59:

Thanks, AJ, RJ, and Johan...yeah, it's true. You put it perfectly, RJ--hopefully as time passes we have more time to think things over and make the best decision for both of us. But getting married in a few weeks was too soon for us (lol after 7 years).

Anyway, will be happy to chat about it next time we meet. Hopefully I'll be eating by then!

To all those who are following the Ramadan tradition....

RESPECT!!!!!

I can totally understand how hard it must be....

From sunset to sundown which today was from around 6AM to a bit before 7PM you are forbidden from eating, drinking or having sex.

So think...can't ingest anything, cannot smoke either...today was tough I gotta admit.

p.s. Fahad, hope everything works out for you. I'll be sure to throw you in my prayers tonite...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramadan

See, what I don't understand, is my understanding was not to have intercourse for the ENTIRE Ramzan period, but apparently this is not true.

meh.
