Conclusion: Call your service provider and ask them what your plan entails...it's different all around.

really? i'm with bell and i have to pay $0.20 for international texts. so i guess it's only 5 cents more. now, i remember when texting in canada used to only be 10 cents. bastards!

i want an unlimited texting plan for overseas texts! last time i called they were like "uh no, we only have them for texting within canada".

that's gotta be the best solution here!

My experience with Rogers, without using a text message plan;

- 15c to send in Canada
- 45c to send to Canada from the US, from Venezuela and from St. Lucia.
- Free to receive texts from anywhere.

I am also with Bell..

I have been told there is a charge of $0.20 per overseas text message but I have never seen a charge on my bill. England is the only overseas country that I text.

All texts to Canada and the US are included in the unlimited package.

Also, texting from the US to any Canadian or US number is included in the unlimited plan. Which was quite a relief when I got home from WMC..

i imagine you posting that in an outfit like below....

I've never paid for text messaging to anywhere.

Except sometimes its not the same, unless it is when it's not. But even then it should be, with the rare exception. Those execptions have other circumstances so that they may not apply, when this happens it safest to assume it could regardless of the rules saying otherwise.
If you're in doubt just remember that it's almost always a difference of plan regarding what you pay for in terms that reveal other circumstances which may or may not occur some of the time.

answers on the internet are always the ones people want to hear, not necessarily the right ones, but they're always the ones they want to hear
