I could suggest a few places... although your best bet is to get a place within walking distance of the event... It is next to impossible to get a cab during octoberfest. Srsly... I have had to walk miles drunk in freezing rain before... not fun.

There is a four points right on Frederick Street downtown KW which wouldn't be so bad. Depending on how much you want to spend of course.

Even though I live in this city, I rarely know where anything is. I don't go out in the city here at all.

Unless you have already booked a hotel then good luck finding one....especially downtown. I would suggest that a kind hearted TA would be your best bet

Yeah, I tried getting Concordia tickets for the first friday about a week after they went on sale in May and they were already sold out.

However, I got hooked up and will be attending after all

I recommend the Schwaben Club (due to my family lineage).

AH HELL YEAH... i HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS ANOTHER SCHWABEN MEMBER IN HERE!.....anyway ...RJ's right ... Schwaben is simply the best one...but if you're lookin for the true slopfest side of Oktoberfest then it's most likely Queensmount Arena which you should be hittin... always the grandest of piss-ups w/ the king of Polka Walter Ostenak... other wise hit the Schwaben & stay away from that snoby Concordia club lol (it's the biggest one in town w/ over 5,000 is attendance nightly ...but ya needed to buy your tix for this one in the spring, but there will be scalpers)
