Yup, just as bad as the sound at Dragonfly in Niagara. Just way too loud without proper bass and treble levels.

It's unlikely that we'll ever get Carl Cox at SONIC, but it's wishful thinking. However, I'll take the sound system with all the sketchy crackheads at the GUV's main room any day over TiL's plastic crowd to enjoy C.C.

Unfortunately I won't be at STEREO tonight in Montreal, but I'm glad to know that the Carl will be able to redeem himself from TiL with a fucken bad ass sound system!

I had an amazing time last night. There is really nothing else I could have asked for.

So many of my favourite people at the same place, during the week and with THE CARL. Shelley and I trying to recreate the vibe from Crobar in Miami... but it wasn't working...

I was really happy to be able to get some hat dancing in last night. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Now, should I go off to work? questions, questions...

I woke up this morning and can't find my phone, someone came here with me last night because there is a half-smoked joint in my living room... I can't find my phone.... and I feel like I am losing the will to live.

I knew there was a reason I wanted to give up drinking!

Sounds like you had a great night.

Ask Mona for a pregnancy test tho - she has extras now.

Lots of mixed reviews...but I still feel bad for not being able to make it. How did his set compare to last year's 9 year?

Can't wait to see some pics!

Yes you should!

Or you could be like me, who leaves the club early in order to get up at 7 am and then sleeps right through my damn alarm!!!!!!!!!!

how was the sketchfactor for a wed ?

Got there early with Sarah to avoid any line up and for the first time ever at TIL it was a breeze getting in.

Enjoyed all of the opening DJ's, I think they set the night up great for Carl. I spent most of the night upstairs during Carl's set because I was so tired and didn't have any help in the energy department.

I really liked Carl's set(more than Sarah and Vince did, but I'm not totally into the banging techno for the whole night). As Sarah said it didn't sound great at TIL, you just know there is so much more to the tracks, you just don't get the full effect of the track. It will be really interesting to hear the same tracks tonight at Stereo to see how much better it can sound.

I left at 3:45AM because I just couldn't make it anymore, I needed to get an hour of sleep before getting to work at 6AM.

Overall I'm really glad I went just to see what the difference will be to see him at Stereo.

Good to see the usual suspects.

I really want to make the point that this felt like a real "party" party. I haven't felt that kind of energy in Toronto in a LONG time. People were excited, rockin and balls to the wall.

???? It was bloody awesome!!! Shame about the first 2 DJs... playing Green Day..?

Coxy rocked the dancefloor and it was fab seeing so many familiar faces there!

I had a good time. His set wasn't mind blowing or anything, but I enjoyed it (I thought he was MUCH better @ Guv 9yr). The last 10-15 minutes of his set was really nice!!!

Posted by TWave on Sep-28-2006 17:29:

I had a great time! I was there for a friend's birthday, and also managed to meet a couple TAs for the first time.. you guys/girls were fucking trashed.. as was i though.. good party, needed it midweek.

Posted by Yohan on Sep-28-2006 17:35:

^Is that you in your avatar? You look like younger version of Victor Gerber (Jack Bristow on Alias)

Posted by TWave on Sep-28-2006 17:41:

So dispite my own misfortunes of loosing my id and bank card and leaving the club early to get up for class, which I never made.

I have no regrets!

Honestly, I wasn't going to attend this party , I called graham, he's like "I highly ADVISE you go" thats all it took.

Amazing, amazing night. Highly impressed with Carl Cox. I had to laugh when sexy back came on. I'm sorry to all those people that love that song. But I simply can't stand it.

I wasn't planning on getting drunk....that didn't go as planned, thanx to Fuad.

Great Tunes. Now I know what "the king of Ibiza" is all about.
