Seriously we've got a lot to thank Oakie for, we wouldn't have such a good variety of Uplifting and Epic Trance if it wasn't for the input he put in around 1996 onwards which helped in some aspects make trance what it is today, I'm not saying he did it himself single handed, but believe me the bloke has done a lot.

He has had a shite two years nothing special has happened, some can say he has progressed with America and stuff, if you read through magazines from about 2000 ministry mag and so on there used to be a little monthly article by him and stuff like that, and it was when america was enjoying more dance music and it said they prefer more darker stuff, maybe that made him lose his spark, and if the older Oakies coming back then great as tu_face said he used to be able to do it, thats the reason why he was highly rated by people he could play blinding sets, last NEC his EM wasn't to bad fair enough he mad some mistakes but set had some energy, and if a lot of you listen to his sets they tend to flow slowly, he didn't have me jumping for joy when I saw him at GCSSS, but I will always recognise what he's done for Trance as a whole. But saying all this he's like Whiskey in a way or Cigars its a required taste.

Oh and keep on the hate Propaganda for JJ and Dave 'fat wanker' Pearce, its better to focus your efforts on the real criminals like the ones who play Ian Van Dahl records on sundays for little kids.

meh...seen oaky twice....both times i don't think he know what a mixer was for.....was just cutting between tracks....was very sad......the first time was when max graham was sposedly "discovered" (he was already big in canada) but its cause he played after oaky and everyone was disapointed and then max walked on and played amazing.....that was all everyone talked about....

second time i thought i'd give him a second chance....i shouldn't have!!

thats just my ickle opinion on oaky!!!

Not a fan of Oakie, but I am a BIG fan of my one female mate who whacked him in the face with swing doors at Heaven

His nose was bleeding and everything, lol

Yeah, I know what thats like. You see, where I did my A-Levels, it was a joint 6th form between two upper schools. There was my school (generally full of the idiots) and there was this other school where I had chemistry (generally full of the toffs). The chemistry class was divided half and half with students from both schools.

The teacher there was a Doctor of chemistry and knew his stuff, but he couldn't teach to save his life. To make things worse, he (and the half a class full of toffs) thought that caning full-on classical music through-out the entire 2 hour lesson was actually a good idea.

When you're in that situation, you gotta tell somebody that you're not happy with the teaching style or else you could just be wasting your time. I guess it's a bit late now, but you could always go back next year, and this time have a word with teacher about how he/she teaches. That, or petrol bomb their car...

Let me tell you, as i'm in the middle of living like that I can say that no matter how many teachers you come across that cant teach, or how many exams you have to take (and retake), uni makes it all worth it. Trust me, I know
