i can tell your boys hadnt been to a city club in a while.... the times.... they are-a changing.... but even so, it was dumb of them, everyone knows Crobar is jam packed with undercovers, i had like 5 people ask me last night (i think they have people from england or australia working for them to give off a "tourist approach") and i said "no i dont have anything, but be careful, this place is filled with undercovers" and give them a wink, and sure enough, you can tell after that wink whos generally thankful i warned them and who knows that they just got figured out

about the undercovers, I guess I'm glad that it's deterring drug sales... that's shit that gets clubs shut down... if people are going to have it, just bring it for your own personal use and keep it to yourself.

This is probably one of the many things crobar does which lets them stay open year after year while every other club gets shut down from time to time. As NYC mayor/cops put pressure on the clubs, crobar seems to step up and regulate themselves enough that they don't get shut down for weeks at a time.

Thanks for the warning though if i see those girls i will see if i can get a drink out of them to return the favor ;0

i wouldn't even go that far, they have laws for abide and/or assist dealers. the minute you take money in any transaction, you've alluded to you have the goods and you are making a transaction. and i think the right approach should be to say sure, come back to my place and we'll party after....

For instance a average looking guy goes in there and encounters these girls and tells them he has tons of drugs instead he has his friend witnessing and possibly recording the situation. The guys gets beaten up but really has nothing on him...except for a potential lawsuit against Crobar. His story being that he only lied about the drugs to try to get the hot girls.

Calling the cops, confiscating the drugs, and detaining someone is one thing. I agree that clubs have to do things to keep order but unneccesarry beatings are going a little far especially if someone is not resisting.

I'll put up with Crobar for Ferry. In my case it depends whether my hatred for the venue overpowers my love for the DJ. In this case it does not.....yet.

when the dt's would approach me at exit I would tell them yes and to wait by the bar while I got them the goods. Meanwhile I would round a couple of bouncers and tell them that someone was harassing me for drugs. They usually would kick the dt out no matter what they said.

damn this is story is fucked up. thx for sharing, been asked quite a few times at crobar for "something to make me fly *wink*" by hot girls.. but i guess this is what crobar will have to pull before it becomes a closed down twilo.. yeah nyc just keeps getting tighter and tighter... all us TA's are going to have to move to NL soon.

All of this makes me laugh. Hot girls acting as undercover cops waiting to bust people with a joint? Such absurdity would not be tolerated here in Montreal.
