On demand digital media through the internet is going to replace TV sooner than later. Google is making a smart move on their part, most likely.

Several companies (the only ones I can remember now are MTV and Vivendi) are thinking of contracting with YouTube to offer some of their content online. Anyone remember when NBC went on a rampage and started demanding that all the SNL clips on YouTube be deleted for copyright infringement? Total bullshit, no one was stating it was their own content and EVERYONE FUCKING KNOWS THE COWBELL JOKE is from SNL
I'm only upset about this because I saw a skit on SNL with a MySpace class at an adult learning annex and it was so funny. The class consisted of one concerned mother and a bunch of peadophiles 
Not that having such takeovers taking place is new but we can officially say that the corporate world has certainly been turned upside down on it's head.
