there used to be a day when id say that was the worst, but i have to agree the whole Bang Gang thing is the dick.

Went to kink the other week with m00f to see King Unique and it was pretty shit. The crowd was very hostile, and believe it or not the women were the rudest prunes i've come across in Sydney + way to much air fucking.

Apparently One Love over at Tank is taking a lot of crowd away from Kink, so kink are letting a lot of people in that they wouldnt normally.

i just hate at clubs such as kink it's more about getting your photo taken in a stupid fucking pose then listening to quality music, and tbh no one really cared King Unique played.. it was the same shit, big bird could have played and it would have been the same.

Yeah, the phat pants thing is still strong in Melbourne. Probably the strongest its every been.

Whats teh one love night like up in sydney? The melb nite has gone to the absolute shitter! Too many 16yos!

Ive been to about 4 of the nights since it started Paulie, purely because my mate is resident there and i always go in with him to watch him so we dont need to line up and we get free drinks etc. Crowd is generally older from what I've seen and fairly wanky .. Tank sorta had that kind of stigma attached to it prior to Onelove already though. It's pretty comparable to Kink. Music isn't TOO bad at times, unless it's like Grant Smillie thrashing shitty accapellas over Put your hands up for detroit

I actually don't mind it though, i don't have a problem talking to anybody in there etc .. i guess my opinion would be a bit different if i was part of the myriad of people that dont get let in etc

Some of the best nites ive ever had have been at one love. Granted only when internationals have been playing. Just interesting to note the path it has taken up in sydney compared to melbourne.

Crystal meth has made clubbers angrier + shitter dancers.

Was a few years back, upstairs in one of the other rooms. I remember it was packed and the floor was flexing under everyone jumping lol. Most of the crew were there. Can't remember you being there though LOL

Only been to kink two times, once for moguai - Absolute SHIT, was expecting a little better, so left and saw satoshie tomiie at tank, thankgod i did!

Mark Knight - started playing some decent house, but then the cheesy electro came in and i jsut stood amongst attention seeking, pouting girlies wondering wtf just happened!? Boo to him cause i know he just played that cheesy stuff because the crowd wanted it!

not a fan of kink at all, for some reason i just dont like the vibe there and that is what discouraged me from going to Danny Howells, King Unique and some of the other good acts they get.

Never heard Bang Gang so cant really comment on it, but have heard ajax in the cave and sounds pretty good!

But those emo kids are everywhere... and i just dont get what the appeal is about??
I totally agree with you sid, its not really about the music these days, which is a shame.

Lol, I've been to Kink twice, both times have been mentioned in this thread :P Once for Zabby, once for Infusion :P Matt_a was there, of course!. It was the weekend after their live @ the wireless on JJJ. Their encore track was bloody amazing!

That Zabiela set was bloody amazing musically. First time he was out here, 1st time I'd heard/seen him live, + I had no expectations....Enjoy the silence live ZOMG! That Techno track (the one with Eninem) killar, That gotta have more cowbell white label....4 hours set.

Zabs was a sounds gig, before kink figured out that the Art House was a money spot.



Gotta give credit to Scott from Kink tho, the dude came out to Aus from the UK, was pretty well off, poured all his money into Miss Moneypennys, which didn't take off over here like it did in the UK. Lost his car, his apartment, almost lost the lot!

Then last resort started kink, and now it's a huge success. You may hate the crowd and night like it do, but good on the guy for making something of it.
