So are cucumbers.
Most people don't know the definition of a fruit. A fruit is the part of the plant that had the seeds in it.
Cucumbers, apples, tomatoes, oranges, peppers, etc. All are fruit.
While a tomato plant itself is a vegetable, the tomato itself is a fruit.
End rant.

Did you know that Tomatoes and Peppers are native to South America but Eggplant, which they are closely related to geneticly, is native to the orient? Wierd.

Brussles Sprouts were named for the city they were geneticly created in.
Tomatoes were thought poisoness for decades after their discovery and were grown for decorative purposes.
Carrots were originally beige and had a hard unedible core. It was the French that bred them to be orange and better tasting. You can still find wild carrots growing up north today. They look exactly the same at they did 1000 years ago but smell the same as their orange, commercial counterparts.

No. It's always been a passion of mine. I've kept a vegetable garden at my house since '99.
You guys MUST have seen the hot peppers growing in front of my house. LOL

He really is, seriously I've never met someone that knows more about plants. The boy had like ten kinds of peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, and some other things in HIS garden. Yup thats right, he's the one that does the gardening at his house.
