does anybody have set times for tonight?

pupa smurf told me marcel or johan will be on at 1am...

but he didnt sound too sure

so ur lookin at like charlie z first, strangis second, then like marcel woods and then johan, and then probably papa or hellraiser finishing off... im not sure on times tho

Although I cant go to Slinky I went to VW and got a chance to have a chat with Marcel and he is the best!
We had a casual chat and abit of a laugh. Good to know the people I worship are still normal down to earth people.

all i have to say is that Johan and Marcel have been some of the craziest dj's i have seen

marcels set was pretty awesome, no one wanted him to get off the decks... then Johan jumped on and man is he a crowd pleaser... he really works up the crowd, talks to everyone over the mic... but his blending from trance, to dirty grumpy electro house, back to some tech trance.... holy farkn fark !

top night. marcel woods was great, banged it out early in his set and kept firing. johan gielen.... wow, finishing with saltwater. lethal industry sent the crowd spastic aswell. his ability to pump up the crowd was awesome.

What a let down... Was pretty quiet till I left (2:30). Besides Steve's set (who was playing when I arrived) it was VERY average IMO.... wont go again...

i thought it was well below average, steve played well, downhill from there on in

Well .. I had an absolute ball It was a really fun night. I haven't danced so much for ages

Steve played awesomely (I actually think he has gotten better). Great to hear some old bangers in amougst some new tunes

I have found lately that instead of starting a trance set with progressive type trance, alot of internationals are opening with that dirty almost electro trancey sound (eg. SVD and PVD recent sets).

I must admit it works really well and gets the crowd grooving from the word go. Marcel mixed this sound with alot of driving and uplifting trance and it sounded great.

Johan wasn't bad either, not at all what I expected. got a bit hard towards the end, but all in all a really fun night

Mixed opinions, always good lol.

i had a great night i went mainly for marcel and he delivered! what a set! for those that didnt like him what didnt you like? he fkn nailed it.
gielen played some nice songs but his mixing was terrible. seemed to try to do too much with the songs as well. pink floyd - another brick in the wall ftw.
was good to party with some TAs

marcel and gielen played exactly how they play overseas, download some of their past sets and you will see.

no offence to those who didnt like it, but if you think marcel and joahn played pooh, then your a noob because their sets couldnt have been more descriptive of their styles.

Marcel plays his own style of tech trance and his tracks are very unique... advanced, cherry blossom, monotune (dub mix), flaura, greece 2000 (marcels mix)... i mean seriously how could u call those boring ?

and Johans style of blending tech trance to techno and then to some bangin hard elecktro house with a few svd tracks in there... fark i mean come on

Marcel, Holy shit man!!! Probably one of the best tech trance sets I have ever heard!! If not "the" best!!
The man had me pumping hard all night. He was relentless. Having a good time on stage and loving the crowd reaction too. He dropped a few new tracks gonna be released on his upcoming album... the 3rd last one he played... OMG!!!

I was a bit disappointed with Johan's set Started off pretty wierd Didn't know what kinda music he was paying, but he was all over 3 or 4 decks at the start, which was pretty impressive! Then it was like he got tired and started playing some proper trance.. and hands in teh air proper trance it was!! Massive choonage in teh middle of his set. THen dropping a bootleg of Pink Floyd - The Wall and Fedde le Grande - Put Your hands up for Detroit... I was like WTF!! I didn't like, but that's just me

Strangis, well done matey! Solid solid set! Loved Second Wave and once Born slippy hit the needle, you brought everyone to the floor and you kept them there! Awesomess!

Papa Smurf... well... some really awesome tracks, but the mixing was pretty shady Great track selection, but I didn't hear a solid mix until bout 1/2 hour - 45 mins in

My fiorst trance night out in Melbourne and I had a fucking great time!! Vman! I really can't thank you enough for show me a good night bro! You and your crew sure can party and make anyone feel welcome!

sounds exciting, ive always repeated that marcel woods is an incredible DJ, one of the best from the 30 minute set i have. anyway got a msg from mortyman while on schoolies after his set damn sounded fun and gielens been caining PYHUFD for about 9 months now, i heard it about a dozen times down in lorne

no worries at all my friend always a pleasure to make new friends, and our group is a very caring kind of group we love to meet new people... going out with such a large group always helps because your always surrounded by mates so your bound to have a good time and you can usually always have fun even if a few pike out

Oh and lets not forget Johan dropping Delerium - Innocente!!!! That was definately the highlight track for him for me. Everyone was arms up singing along!

so so sad that marcel played at a shitty rave here in syd and not home or some other event. sounds like he played an awsome set in melb, hopfully he returns soon.

i ended up speaking to Dj Kat about a "special" guest appearance by Marcel woods at Evo the saturday night after he played at slinky... she told me that the crowd wasnt impressed by him at all... stoopid muzzas if only they knew his skillz
