iv played vinyl after learning with cdj's...
its preatty easy... just correcting. it just takes longer.
I used to beatmatch with belt decks...

That's IF you get it locked. Who has 2 minutes to move the pitch slider in increments THAT small? And sometimes you just CAN'T do it no matter how much time you waste.
Just get it really close and ride the pitch a little, it's inaudible if you do it right.
Getting CDJ's (one's with .02%) to lock IS much easier.

Well 1200's (except the M5G) use analog pitch sliders, so there's no real "increment". But there are a lot of things that affect the pitch... the platter wow/flutter, the needles, the records, etc.
With a CDJ, since it's all digital, there is no waver whatsover. I calculated it out once, if you get a track to within +/- .02% of the speed of the other record, it won't drift for several minutes.
The other thing with a CDJ-1000 is that even if it does drift (which it will, we aren't perfect), you can grab the platter and reliably correct the mix. Make a little pitch adjustment, etc.
With 1200's, obviously you can touch the record or spin the spindle, but it's easier to overcorrect.

That was kinda my point... anything under .05% and you're good. Don't worry 'bout it

Wish you could do that but oh well. It does help with the first track...finding out approx what BPM it is, and I have found that pretty accurate. But in a mix...it varies. One track might be matched at say 127, but it reads 126 but you know it's matching 127 because the previous track was and that's what it matches tempo wise.
