I do have respect for Armin and I think that he has done well for himself. The thing is, he is doing exactly what Tiesto did; Touring all over the world, doing an "Armin Only" night which is almost exactly like "Tiesto in Concert". He has managed to rise to the stardom and popularity level that Tiesto did which is why he will be #1.

Not at all, you knew this was bound to happen eventually.

I think ppl don't want to see him #1 on here due to the fact that they don't follow/like trance any longer and would like to see someone else other than the regular DJ's that are always in the top 3. Let's face it, for the last 4-5 years the top 3 in any given order have been Armin, Tiesto and PvD. And if you look at who the people on this forum have voted for you will see very few of either one of those 3 names in their top 5. (excluding Elfy, cuz he is trance trance trance )

I suppose it just goes to show that trance is still the most listened style of EDM if they are all still getting the top votes.

Sasha deserves it too. His day will come. Realistically it's between Armin, PVD and Tiesto so I'm gonna vote for the lesser of all evils: Armin.

Do I want to see a sad German behind the booth? No.
Do I want to see Tiesto's ego inflated even greater? No.
Do I think Armin is down to earth, friendly, a great mixer, a talent scout for young DJ's, an entrepeneur, and one of the best performers in the industry? Yes.

i think Steve Lawler is gonna move up big this year. He' was 30th in 05' and i saw him 3 times this year and he's been amazing and i know a lot of ppl in the other ta local forums feel the same way...

Its the crap trance that DJs like Tiesto and Armin have been spinning that has made me turn back to listening to more house and techno again.

Unfortunately, Tiesto or Armin will get the No. 1 spot again and it will be another year of more crap trance.
