I was expecting alot worse... they definately needed to follow around that meathead who was in the club and grabbed her girlfriends' ass... much better entertainment.

Ok Im a brooklyn guy who went to college in staten island and heres my report, no one i Know ever refered to Saten island as "the island", or says "im goin' to Manhattan", its Staten Island and "the City", and no brooklyn or S.I. girl feels out of place in the city, and most SI girls ive met are looking for tanned spikey juiceheads, Soundfactory circa 1999, i felt so embarresed for these girls at moments, but the actress did seem motivated, its nice to have daddy's $$$$ to back up that intent

Posted by AY STAR on Oct-18-2006 03:24:

werd i was expectin alot worse
i think if they would have picked girls who were younger like still in high school and stuff it would have been bad but these girls were older and mature somewat
like the first girl who wanted to be an actress i liked her the best she had a dream and was stickin to it and had alot of support from her family and she made the move to get extra training and such
the girl in the middle was the worst typical si dumb gweedette lol
she was expectin to find love in a nightclub from a si gweedo
i mean she had that guy she was seein who wassent that bad but she perfers the gweedos watever iam glad its not my daughter lol and all she ate was sushi lol
the last girl who wanted to move to the city was just an idiot she wanted to spend atleast 2 grand per month to live in the city on a waitressing job instead of paying off her debt
but she was still focused on gettin off that island so i give her credit
all in all not a bad show i think the worse had to be the dumb tool from the jersey shore lol that was the funniest show i ever saw

Posted by phoenixBEBE on Oct-18-2006 03:28:

for some reason, i was hoping that the show would dispell some stereotypes about Staten Island...it would have made the show much more interesting. but oh well -- yea at least some of the girls were motivated.

yeah the Jersey Shore segments were hilarious

hmm -- wonder what region MTV will seek out and produce a show about NEXT...i wonder if they would ever do another area in New York again

Fuk I missed it.....was too busy watching the Mets blow another one.

Posted by Miss Bliss on Oct-18-2006 04:04:

umm I never even knew SI people were stereotyped as guidos, thought that was just NJ with LI being tools, I wouldn't refer to them as guidos

I thought SI people, just like SI itself, were just a big myth that didn't exist anyway

Posted by InterMilan31 on Oct-18-2006 05:47:

The story was with their boyfriends and their ties to the mafia

Wasnt that bad still offended by them. I love the part where the guy touchers her girlfriend camera turns to the girl and she says something in italian and a italian word that only guidos know since they know like 20 italian words all curses and mama mia type shit.

I think Danielle is the only one motivated. The one in debt will piss someone off. The other chick will marry some guido out of desperation he will cheat and possibly abuse her (sorry but its reality *cough* steriods *cough*)

But seriously they will amount to nothing since any spotlight on a guido goes to their heads and then they falll fallll falll

In HS on Staten Island, one of my teachers said to us...

Get off of this Island and go see what else is out there. People who grow up here never leave and never realize what the world is like outside of this island. There is something about being surrounded by water that keeps them here.

So maybe its not an exact quote but it stuck with me. And its true. Meet someone who grew up there and is still there in their late 20s, early 30s and you can just tell they never left.

HS on SI
St. Johns SI for college
Marry a girl/guy from the Island and spend your life on an express bus heading downtown...

I Pissed myself watching this, it was the funniest thing I have ever seen, a bunch of retarded, walking carrots (orange from tanning salons), talking about how life is rough in a ridiculous accent. I am from Staten Island this is every girl on that Island!!!

You can make that argument for just about anywhere really. Like me, Ive always lived in queens, went to school in queens, prob live in queens my whole life. I guess its the fact that these ppl never left and are also situated on an Island that makes it sound SHOCKING. Like something out of Castaway or Gilligans Island. LOL.

Posted by ReenTeenTeen on Oct-18-2006 18:31:

LOL, I'll be a smart ass: bronx is the only part of NY that isn't an Island.

i think the whole NYC is an island ; bronx is connected to manhattan & queens is connected to long island.

Posted by massivenyc on Oct-18-2006 18:37:

How bout that tard that was working as a waitress in the Manhattan saying she was worried about being accepted by the people there because she is from SI, hahahahaha, as if she is from Mongolia or something. Or the struggling actress who pulled up for her audition in the Lexus SUV?

a bunch of beauty school rejects... hahahaha
