i dunno but I actually enjoyed Mr and Mrs Smith

Just came back from this. FANTASTIC film. The acting was spot-on all around. It was shot beautifully. The stories were gripping yet not overly sentimental. Dialogue wasn't overdone, I thought they did a great job of letting the characters and events kind of speak for themselves without overstating any "point" - each story went at a natural pace and all 4 of the major threads were poignant in their own way. Lovely bit of film.

Awesome!

Loved it!

People say it's another 'Crash' but I dunno, I never saw crash. This was awesome though, great acting and even thought it was a Brad Pitt movie it wasn't just like BRAD PITT BRAD PITT- well acted, well shot, well scored!

IDs

Fatboy Slim - The Joker (ATFC dub or remix not sure on how it's labelled)

i agree, top flick. brad pitt's one of my favourite actors though........his work in fight club, legends of the fall, troy and now this are really top notch. he doesnt always get the credit he deserves about his acting, its sort of overshadowed by how much girls love his looks

Got this movie on DVD a while ago and finally watched it. Awesome movie! Kinda sad at some parts but very, very well done. Hope this picks up an Oscar, it's fun.

2046 is okay..not great.
Like most sequels...it does not top the first.

Babel..this movie was very mediocre at best. Tried to hard to tie in all stories especially the Japanese one. Amores Perros is by far his best work.

If you want to watch a good movie watch 'Volver' an Almodovar film. I recommend this over Babel.

I'll agree that it probably doesn't top the first. But I still thought it was a great film.. and not even really a sequel of the traditional kind. It stands alone very well as it's own film.

I'll grant you the link to the Japanese story was tenuous, but I think that probably shows that the movie didn't particularly "try" to link it in. To me the whole idea of the stories being linked wasn't particularly crucial. To me it was a character driven film.

In other films where the stories link up more successfully and intricately the device tends to take over and becomes a gimmick (a cool gimmick, but a cheap trick nonetheless). I think the story link ups in this film were understated and really not crucial to it's worth as a film.

Both good films

naw, not this year. Brad Pitt was good, but there were too many other good performances in other movies as well.

I don't think this type of movie is for you. It just got nominated for Best Picture, so it's not like anyone can call it "awful"

While all your points are worthless, I will focus in on the easiest one to make you look stupid with.

The Japanese girl was fuked up because she was a deaf-mute who's mom had just committed suicide. You idiot.

Are you "just being retarded" again? Or is this particular post symptomatic of actual rather than feigned retardation?

I finally got to watch it. I don't see how its similar to crash (except for the idea of putting several stories into one). I really liked the movie, but unlike crash i couldn't figure out the main theme; does it have one ?

It's a nice story, or set of stories. Good amount of stereotypes exposed in this film. I liked it.

what stereotypes ?

I think the movie was a trojan horse, whose main intent was to give the viewer a window into what it might be like to live in different parts of the world, and by having them all in the same movie it allowed you to compare and contrast them more easily.

I often find this is the case. Take Dreamgirls. I didn't so much see the a story about Motown and The Supremes, but rather a frame story to showcase the beauty of the human voice.
