let's see...highschool

came from a city public jr highschool - best experience in my life, i learned alot about kids from the streets - started smoking pot around this age (13) and off I went to a catholic highschool

chinese kid who hung out with all phillipino kids, played on the baseball team, was on the computer science team, and got above average grades in HS (mostly B's). was one of those dorky kids that people picked on yet still held the 'jock' title. so yea was hated on and respected at the same time....always did my thing and never followed groups of peoples or clicks of friends.

The wierd thing about my high school was there were lots of cliques, but everybody was cool with everybody, everybody knew everybody, and everybody partied with everybody, even at my 4A school, which means it's really big. I remember all those days were after school, I would kick it with some new people or my good friends and just get blazed, and then head to a food joint. Weekends got mor fun as more people started driving. I was never into the organized social events like homecoming or prom or any of that shit. A lot of the times on weekends, me and my firends would go to a smoke spot and hot box in one of the vehicles, or get drunk at a golf course at night, or head up to a random party. Trying to obtain shrooms, weed, coke, booze, etc.

As I think about it know, I would have worked more throughout high school, just because there's some things I want to do right now that I could have done in high school bbecause I had more free time. I enjoyed my time at high school, I didn't think it was too much drama, either that or I avoided it. My good friends right now are still my good friends that I had in HS.

i was neutral. out of a highschool with 2,000+ people:

i wasn't the geek nor was i the most popular. most of my friends were cheerleaders... i am not the cheerleading type so i did not join the team. but, in fact no one was made fun of for being a "Geek" or whatever...

Posted by CranberryJuice on Oct-27-2006 16:52:

im very mixed up towards high school prolly cuz i was totally confused with myself depessed and trying to build my personality i was working hard like i always did but i cant say i regret it .....it kinda gave me the strengh to now handle the crazy rythm we have at school

i would say i was a big big nerd in high school the typical number 1 of the class but would hang out with some old friends to smoke pot on friday evenings ....these old friends were the exact contrary of me dread locks ....big pants ....chilling all the time ....

but i remenber high school like a period of more careless free attitude .....where we wouldnt even have to worry about some probs of the everyday life ....but i had already the motivation to reach my goals ....managed to but didnt get into the school i was supposed to go

it's a choice .

i would say i miss HS because it wasnt that intense and that having autonomy is great but mmh HS involves some funny times.....and now a day having fun at school isnt that often

Most schizophrenic three years of my life. I didn't really chill with anyone, but I knew at least 60% of my grade.

In France I hung out with the skater/stoner/party crew, and during my last year here I just made friends with all the girls in my AP french class and that was it. Highschool was more like a shitty job than a occasion to socialize. Especially considering the 2 bit morons who attended my school.

Burn. I seriously think its shitty when people talk shitty about high school. It's shitty that some people had to have a shitty experience.

It's shitty that you have such a shitty attitude towards other people's shitty experiences.

Never really liked highschool to be honest. Did well, got into a good college afterwords, and enjoy it much more. For me my highschool was in a nice area, but it seemed as though all the teachers--except a few--didn't care about their students. There wasn't much learning going on at my highschool to say the least. For me it just felt like a colossal waste of time. The social scene was great, but still it just never felt like there was anything productive going on.
No drugs for me, just make things worst...

Lets see typical day in high school:

I came up with an elaborate scheme to skip school by pretending to be sick, and I managed to spring my girlfriend out claiming that her grandmother died. I borrowed my friends dads 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California and we hit up downtown Chicago to go to a baseball game. Since it was Von Steuben Day, there was a downtown parade with a bunch of floats. I managed to sneak on one of the floats and lip-synced to "Danke Schoen" and The Beatles' version of "Twist and Shout".

After the day of fun, we return to my friends house where I jack up the Ferrari and put it in reverse, propping a cement block on the gas pedal to make the odometer roll backward. But who knew this wouldnt work? My friend gets pissed and starts kicking the Ferrari and then leans on the car which knocks it off the jack sending it roaring backward through the second-story garages plate glass window and into the ravine below. Yea what a fucking mess. I offer to take the blame but my friend mans up and stands up to his dad.

Long story short, principal Rooney, who has it in for me, has spent all day trying to prove that Im faking my sickness. But through a stroke of cinematic genius I manage to make it home in time before my parents arrive while hilariously foiling Rooneys bumbling attempt to catch me in the act. Haha that Rooney what a character. Anyway that was high school for me.

Nice thread. miss those crazy days i hung out with all the immagrant people "border hopers". droped out my junior year had to start working whene my dad passed away.

Posted by L.E.N. on Oct-28-2006 05:20:

Freshman: I was unknown..Listened to heavy metal and hung out by the bleachers. My grades sucked

Sophmore thru senior (1997): I played football and got my shit together. Still pretty unknown but people knew me. After I got all my credits and had the last two quarters to fuckoff...I started "Raving". At my school nobody went to them so my group of friends started to stand out and girls I had crushes on were asking me to take them out to raves. I really got into trouble around that time..selling/taking drugs and such. I was having a blast for the last 6 or so months. I wish all of high school would have been like that, but if it was I wouldnt have graduated.
