When i was in England i accidentally locked my phone by forgetting my 4 digit entry code (which is what i'm thinking happened to you). Now Nokia is a bitch when it comes to that lol You need a PUK code to get it working again and the only way you can do that is by going to the place where you bought the phone lol Completely lame Needless to say if you're out of the country you're pretty much screwed. Bah!

think a shop can unlock it?

Give me the ESN number on the phone ill find out and tell you what the last 4 digits of the phone number is.

The ESN DEC is located if you remove the battery.

Which provider is it from?? if its a foreign provider i cannot help. Yes there is a way to unlock the phone, only the telephone provider can do it if its a CDMA phone, so if its from canada the canadian phone company has to unlock it which they wont if its flagged.. I know i have unlocked my telus handset.

P.S- if anyone asks, you got it from james bond

They only way you are going to be able to use this phone in Canada is if it is a tri-band phone. As well you will have to get it unlocked so that you can use it on one of Canada's cellular systems.

Your best bet (if you really want to go through the trouble) is find someone who will unlock the phone for you and ask them if it can be used here.

No can do, has to be done by the provider in U.K its bound to their programming on the phone.

Even if you did unlock the phone, you wouldnt be able to use it with a CDMA provider here from other networks.

A stolen phone will flag you if you try to activate it and they will investigate you for possession of stolen property.
