most chinese pop that 'try' to follow the dance/trance musical style.

for me its not that i dont hate other music i mean you should at least keep an open mind, but when i try listening to any other music like with words i never understand what there saying. other music to me just sounds like a bunch of random instuments hit at random times (jackhammer machinegun)for 3-4 min with some guy raping or rocking about "wekhh ifhsafdh dksjh fhdueh fposie okdloc ij fje e9iwoekf lfiod".

at about that time i turn on some trance and find form and function brought togethter creating one perfect emotional masterpiece,

and another thing(off the subject), alot of people cant stand trance because it "to repeditive" they say "dont you get board". the thing that they dont realize and i tell them is that without lyrics a rap song in most cases is a 4 or 8 count beat repeated 200 times without any variation at all. trance is about the music.

id have to say the worst songs right now can be summerized by TRL

you could probably take the lyrics away from pop, RnB as well and it would sound stupid because the music is just looping too. i hate those ignorant wankers that think trance is only about the 4/4 beat and that they think there are no synths, strings that form a powerful/trancey/dreamy melody. damn fools!

wow I thought I was the only one that felt that way about the that kinda music or i should say noise.. alternative is always mistaken for RnB (rythem n blues) I dont know what people see in rap and hip-hop.. everything and everyone seems to like it because everyone else does or some nature of that sort.. as for neckelback, I feel the same way as krusader does.. Every-second! every radio station you turn too.... wow.. thats the only reason why i dont listen to the radio now.. same old songs over and over and over and over again!

Trance music is the only music that can put you into a state of mind everytime you close your eyes and listen to it.

My vote goes to a remix which is out in aus at the moment and getting far too much airplay. A hard house version of ac/dc thunderstruck. It sucks arse bigtime. I heard it out recently and it made me want to go home,the bitch dj might as well have played kenny rogers!

Any pop/commercial music that came out in 1999, right after Britney Spears - Hit me baby one more time came out. Pop/commercial music was cool, nice, healthy and okay before Britney the bitch took it to her level.

Man, the way i look at it is these people have absolutely no idea what they are missing. They couldn't possible fathom how much their lives would be enriched by Trance.
Just the other day a friend of mine was saying the same thing you posted about trance until i played for him "Ashtrax - Diversion" and he later said, kind of out-of-the-blue, "Kevin, I want you to burn a couple trance tracks on CD for me like that" And let me tell you, this guy is one of those devoted Hip-Hop, R n b, Rap people. Trust me, we have absolutely nothing to prove with our music. It proves itself.

sup kevin. heh you should try my friend. actually i don't talk to him that much. anyway, he is a HARDCORE rap, hip hop and britney spears fan. i played many many tunes to him before, well he was forced to because he was in my car. i played anything from dark hard trance to epic uplifting gems and he still doesn't change his opinion about trance in that he thinks it sucks. to each his own i suppose but i don't give a crap what he listens to. its none of my business. some people just don't understand it or they just don't like it.

But the point I wanted to make is that I try not to just diss someone's music that I think is worthless. Back when I used to be into Hip-Hop and rap, people would tell me stuff like "its not really music" or whatever, and get on me for listening to it- even though its what I really enjoyed. So, since then, I don't go straight up to someone and tell them their music sucks. Music is all about what personally pleases your ears. We're all different, and we have different tastes- and different music appeals to certain people because of the messages in the music.

All I'm saying is: Dont' be ashamed of a song you like. You have your own reasons for liking it, and you don't have to explain it.

Whats funny is that I've grown out of Hip-Hop/Rap and its more popular than ever. And guess what.. NOW IT SUCKS

I think I'd have to go with the consensus on the fact that RnB and rap are the worst. After getting into trance more and more...I can't even dance to the slow ass beats in hip hop tunes...talk about boring! I'd rather get captivated by a vocal-less trance track than listen to some poser goin bling bling and all that crap.
